We had him for the Everton game, he just sounds like he hates football. "What's he doing that for?" "Why isn't he throwing himself at that?" "Why hadn't he passed to him?"

Low quality game and we actually got pretty lucky but an excellent three points and consecutive wins and clean sheets.
They set up like lots of away teams have this season to hit us on the counter and it would have worked if they had someone who could finish, they got in behind us a few times but never really troubled Bego. Second half we were much better.
Diouf looked like he had absolutely no confidence in the first half, he had a nightmare and didn't look happy at all. After his first goal, (which he took bloody brilliantly,) he looked a completely different player. Hopefully he'll get the chance to lead the line on Thursday while he's on a high.

Such a huge three points though. Halfway through the season and we're on 25 points.
Nine points clear of relegation and if Swansea beat Liverpool tomorrow then we'll finish 2014 in the top half! The last three days have massively changed our season, feel a lot more comfortable now!

Yes, I thought the same, they were the better side without really having the kind of cutting edge which would have hurt us. Once the first goal went in though, and they had to come at us, with the exception of a five minute spell of pressure when we couldn't clear or keep the ball, we were marginally on top for the remainder. I'd also like to publicly renounce any criticism of Steven NZonzi I may have made in the past ;D Absolutely imperious today in midfield, that role ahead of the back four and linking the midfield with Whelan occasionally getting forward when he can absolutely suits him down to the ground. Pleased for Diouf, needed some decent luck after the ManU disappointment. A winger he isn't! Crouchy dreadful first half apart from a few decent headers to teammates, much better in second, Arnie is trying hard but it's not working for him, Geoff looked a bit half-hearted at times although he's got a foot knock and Bojan just a class apart from everyone else on the pitch. The ball hit his side on around 65 minutes and rebounded to an Albion player and that was genuinely the first thing he did 'wrong' (which is being very harsh). Very tempted to go to Leicester now ;D

It usually is.

N'Zonzi was excellent but should have played in Diouf at 2-0. Was it just me or did Begovic turn McAuley's shot onto the post with his foot? Didn't seem to get credit for what I thought was a great save.
I agree that West Brom aren't a bad side and should give Irvine time. Caused Man City a lot of problems and 10 poor minutes cost them. Have some good players.
