In the circumstances a great result. They looked to have the better of our back 4 same as Blackburn early on but Wollscheid had a real good game. Ireland bossed second half and good work by Bardsley snuffed them out second half.
That's Villa's goal supply used up for the next 3 months.

How the hell was that not a foul on Bardsley?! Sinclair has hauled him down, that's the only reason he was unmarked! Just back. Thought exactly that at the time. He pulls him down then falls on his leg. Bardsley did well to carry on after that he loooked in real trouble for a while. Absolutely buzzing with that win, which in all honesty was daylight robbery. A decent side would have torn us a new one in the first half we were that bad. Thank God we were only up against the Villa! But, we do have the players who can produce a moment of quality out of acres of dross and that's what happened for our equaliser. Second half we improved and it was about even I'd say. Villa didn't create anything apart from one headed chance which Bego tipped over. Wasn't expecting us to gon on and win it and was quite happy with a point tbh. Sherwood's interview on Radio WM was funny. Interviewer pointed out Villa managed only 2 shots on target. Sherwood, who'd been saying we were no better all interview smugly asked how many we had, expecting (you could hear it in his voice!) that it'd be the same or less. 6 came back the reply. Oh, says Sherwood and says nothing after that - he could be fun if it all goes tits up for him ;D Edit: Whelan was absolutely pumped at the final whistle - gave his shirt to one of the Stokies in the crowd, high fiving others, he fucking loves Villa Park I reckon. Great to see and also the reaction from the other Stoke players. Great stuff.

Sherwood is a fucking poser like Pardew and that cunt at Swansea. Fuck him. Man bag carrying cunt ;D Reckon you're right. I also think he's just not 'cute' enough to know when the media are playing him for quotes and will walk right into controversy simply by speaking his mind instead of the Pulis method of saying fuck all or just moaning at the ref like every other manager does. Sherwood could be fun.

Sherwood could be fun. He just can't help himself can he? When the Aston Villa goal went in he gave it the big 'look what this means to me'. Fist pumping like a lunatic. It was 'look at me ... look how much this means to me' for the fans and the media. He's a narcissist just like Pardew and Monk. Fuck them. Bunch of cunters.

I still can't believe we won that ;D Football is bonkers sometimes! To be fair they didn't deserve to win it and when you're in that situation is always the chance you'll get beat. Do like Gil, a real good player but not fit today. They have sime real good players and should be higher up the table on team strength.

Unless Sherwood can improve their creativity they'll struggle. Aside from Bego's fairly comfortable tip over from the header I think he had nothing to do second half. They'll never score if they don't make more chances.

I knew we'd get at least a point. Under Hughes, our indifferent performances are usually followed up by something positive. There was also no fucking chance that we were ever going to let ourselves get beaten by a piece of shit side like Villa twice in the same season.
Not a great game by any stretch but they showed why they are down there and we showed why we're not - good character, spirit and some fucking PACE.
We are well clear of Everton now and even Newcastle are looking a bit ropey. Top 10 should be quite straightforward barring any further injury disasters. Top 8 is very much achievable too.
