I'd be surprised if it looks anywhere near that good on a high end PC, let alone the consoles. Miffed it's only only with no story campaign. I've always been a single player guy and if the games worth hanging onto (GTA V for example), I'll dip in and out of online. Battlefield 4 was fun for about 2 weeks before realising I wasn't much cop at it, and that was after completing the SP, which wasn't too bad. I know it'll have offline play with bots, but if it was anything like the last one (PS2?!) it was just different objectives around the map. I read that there's no dog fights in this either, unless they're DLC, which can fuck right off.

Well I enjoyed that immensely. Took a while to get my head around the Map layouts but the overall impression was a good one! Just not sure I can justify the 50 quid release price. Definately be picking this up when (if ever) it drops in price.

Went into the beta expecting to hate it immensely. I had Battlefield 4 briefly for a few weeks, could not get into the multiplayer due to sucking a fat one at it. Jumped on with a mate on Walker Assault and had a pretty good time. Really enjoyed it. There's lots of criticism online about it being dumbed down mechanically, but for a casual online player (I barely ever play online), the balance felt pretty good overall. The visuals and sound direction were fucking incredible too.
Probably pick it up for myself at Christmas as I wouldn't want anyone to pay over 40 quid for it on my behalf.
