My autistic ten year old loves theme park rides that scare me shitless, I went on the coaster 3 times today and refused to get on the front row, the really scary stuff he went on by himself , I don't know why I'm so cowardly but I just don't enjoy them! Just looking at the Pepsi big one made me feel ill. Any other shocking chickens out there?

I had both my kids on a stretching rack for four years so that they'd be tall enough sooner to go on the rides on their own

The worst I remember was at Euro Disney some ride that was covered so you couldn't see inside and observed the stars in darkness. It fucking looped the loop that many times my entire skeleton felt like it was being smashed against the plastic seat. Was probably worth it though to see their mother sitting on a park bench in shell shock afterwards

Just to add on the thread subject although my daughter will go on any ride placed in front of her with confidence she squeals like an idiot and comes running the moment even the tiniest spider is in her presence.

Can't say they scare me particularly but I've no real desire to go on rollercoasters and shit like that either. Especially when it probably involves 45 minutes of queueing at each one for 90 seconds of ride. Just don't get the point. But then I am quite spectacularly boring.

Wouldn't say I'm a rollercoaster fan particularly, but every day I pray for the sweet release of death.
In all seriousness, I've been to Towers twice since the Smiler crash (July and last week) and it's so much better now that the queues are shorter.

I love rollercoasters but scared shiteless up tall buildings. Nuttier the rollercoaster the better, nearest to the ground the building the better

I'm a bit averse to swimming with great white sharks.

I've never really 'got it' tbh. I like Disneyland Rides like Pirates of The Caribbean and Star Tours, but throw yourself around until you're sick rides I really don't like. Other half got me on Nemesis once many years ago and I did enjoy it. Only got on it because there was no queue, had I been stood around thinking about it I don't think I'd have done it.
The daughter on the other hand has been riding them since she reached the height limit and loves them. I prefer to sit on a bench and people watch.

I like them, but I haven't been to a theme park in years. I remember how much your head would get bashed about on the corkscrew at Alton Towers.

I went on the corkscrew once with studs in my ears (I have them pierced 3 times each ear). When I got off I'd got 3 bleeding holes in each side of my neck Daughter works there so free tickets are always about here, never can be arsed to go.

Took the daughter (6yo) on a fairground ride last summer, the sizzler I think it was called. Loads of arms that spin around a central point then carts on those that spin independently.
I didn't enjoy it as I was hungover, I wasn't as such scared but was genuinely concerned for my wellbeing as it was owned & run by gypos who haven't the faintest idea of heath and safety or routine / preventative maintenance schedules. I trust the theme parks with a proven safety record, I don't trust fairgrounds what so ever.
