Have any of you gone on a (possible beer inspired) spiritual pilgrimage with a fictitious provenance? I seem to have done this far too often, ones springing immediately to mind include
1) Mr Benns house in Richmond. 2) Wee Jock's (from Hamish McBeth) grave on the Kyle of Lochalsh 3) Dana from Ghostbusters apartment of Central Park West
Have any other readers with too much time on their hands achieved as many? I am prepared to accept Lena Zavaroni's chip shop is the intent was ironic and not just accidental.

Lena Zavaroni's chip shop isn't a patch on Bonnie Langford's Pie and Mash café
Was in Shap last Friday where Withnail and I was filmed...sadly the tea shop not in that part of the world or the pub. The cover to the Clash's Combat Rock LP was shot in Buriram, NE Thailand which I once went to to have a pic taken, since lost. Went to Wallyworld (Not it's real name) to ride the rollercoaster

There you go, I suspect Fictitious Spiritual Pilgrimages to be more common than I thought, mind you, if anyone will go on one, its you!
I am, however, going to have to rule out the Abbey Road zebra crossing as being not esoteric enough.
I did demand my elderly mother, who was visiting New Zealand, have a pic taken next to a sign for Dominion Road in Auckland an an homage to Kiwi band The Mutton Birds who had a song of the same name....

I am also going to dis-allow Blooms Day re-enactors. Normally, I would appreciate such lunacy but its too git-ish.

Question is, what were the chips like?
Gerry Rafferty, the fictional detective who had a house there?
Northy, whilst I appreciate you adding to the thread, you have to have made a special pre-meditated effort to seek out the location, not just be passing it on the way to work!
