the reeperbhan area is good, but we went in August where they had set up a beach area as well, the far end has a good side street, watch out for tramps and alchies.
hope you arent staying near the train station area it was like downtown baghdad

Jonesy's holiday Diary......
Day One....
Got pissed up and had money stolen by a fat bird who I was fingering. Couldn't find my hotel so slept in the gutter.
Day Two....
Needed money. Responded to an advert to become a movie star. A busy day of filming. Who would have thought being pissed and Shit on by gay midgets could be so much fun.
Day Three....
Spent my porn film earnings on beer, sausages, dirty women in strip clubs and cream for my sore anus.
Bet the above isn't far from the truth.
