After a 6-0 thrashing of Leek Town behind closed doors to start out pre-season, today we drew 1-1 with MSV Duisburg. Sam Clucas scoring our equaliser in the second half. The penalty shoot out ended in a 3-3 draw. Jack Butland took and scored all of our penalties. The shoot out was declared a draw after three penalties taken by each side. Could have been cut short because Stoke had a plane to catch or it might have been because Northy was drunk and ran on to the pitch with his dick out, not sure which.

Could have been cut short because Stoke had a plane to catch or it might have been because Northy was drunk and ran on to the pitch with his dick out, not sure which. Somebody did run on the pitch from the Duisburg end and hugged Joe Allen. The first half we seemed to play 5 at the back with Ward as wing back, him n Indi were all over the place and we were lucky to be only 1 down, we did have 1 ruled out for offside. 2nd half 11 different players and we were so much better, could have scored more. Collins stood out at right back. The penalties were a farce, Jack gave up and let them win as it was for some cup thing, the rest of the team were warming down at the time. Great weekend, lots of beer, dusseldorf is a great city.

I take it there is some sort of Auf Weidersein Pet theme park?

I take it there is some sort of Auf Weidersein Pet theme park? Yes, there were lots of small german bands wearing traditional german outfits, I saw one come out of a bar playing music, wlak 20 yards to the next bar and stop and have another drink, a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I think playing decent pre season opponents and winning is important, not beating Newcastle Town 6-0 every year

I think playing decent pre season opponents and winning is important, not beating Newcastle Town 6-0 every year I'm not getting too carried away: we've drawn with a German 3rd division side, and beaten (decent) Conference and League 2 sides. Performances have been better than last year's shitshows, but we've not really played anyone comparable to the Championship sides we'll face this season. Lincoln will be a tougher test but I would expect us to beat them barring some sort of defensive meltdown, and I think Leicester will roll us over comfortably on Saturday.

Tranmere are League 1 now, same as Lincoln

Given our shit cunt wank piss poor performances against these sorts of teams in cup competitions for the last 40 years I myself would put some relevance in these performances!

Lincoln away tonight then Leicester at home on Saturday.
Stoke have decided to stop ticket sales one hour before kick off for the Leicester match and not have cash turnstiles which seems bloody daft for a pre-season friendly. We are playing Leicester not Barcelona.

2-1 victory in the end. Decent result as we had a lot of our younger players on duty tonight.

In the Boothen end for the game against Leicester. The good news is I've almost dried out from the walk to the ground in the rain. The bad news is Sam Vokes has had a bloody penalty saved and the really bad news is Ryan Shawcross has been stretchered off just before half time with a nasty injury. Possibly a broken leg. He was sliding to clear the ball for a throw in. Freak accident, nobody's fault.
Still 0-0
