Just gone up in my estimations
Admitted that he should've been sent off against us last season and also away at West Brom. After those games, he felt that it was time to retire because he was becoming a burden on his teammates
Good on him for admitting it

Nice of Sky to focus 100% of the post match analysis on Chelsea. "We'll talk about Stoke in a little while", I'm still waiting.

I suppose the fact that us taking a point off Chelsea isn't surprising enough to mention is a nice compliment really

Sky sucked Chelsea off, I'm sorry but how the fuck can a striker get man of the match in a goalless draw?! And it took Neville to point that out too.
It was a disgrace to both Begovic and the Stoke defence to hardly get a mention, and to Alex as well who was brilliant for Chelsea today. Awful, truly awful punditry.

Fair play for that, any ex pro would just forget about incidents like that and come up bullshit as to why they retired, but that sounds sincere enough.
Neville done a decent enough job then?

Has he still got a role at the club? Same question goes for Scholes.

It's still annoying how he and Scholes just out and out retired.
Just because they're no longer good enough for the best club in the country doesn't mean they're not good enough for other clubs, in my opinion all ex superstars should take a pay cut and drop a division or two just to give a lower club a marquee signing for their fans to jizz over, doing it as a favour to them obviously. Just seems to me that that would be really sound of them, even if it was just for one season, just a bit of excitement.

I know, and that's why they always do it. But they should have a season that's not about the money, to give the fans of, say, Swindon (first shit team to come to mind) the chance to see a legend at the club for even just a season. As a favour to the fans of that club, in a way.

Considering Scholes said for about 10 years that he'd play a season for Oldham it was particularly cuntish of him to just retire like that.

Scholes is coaching at Oldham now though isn't he?
I remember reading an article last season about how he did 1 less day of training that everyone else at Man Utd, so he could coach and train with the Oldham squad and their kids.
Which is nice and kind of relates to Boother's point, imagine being in the Oldham academy and Scholes comes along to teach you.

As much as people might hate him-he does care passionately about football.
