Woodgate man of the match for me, don't know why they gave it Huth although he didn't play badly. We just need some attacking players and we'll probably get ourselves into the top 10.

Agree about Woodgate. He is fantastic, amazing awareness and read the game well.

Three games in, three clean sheets Pulis must be sleeping like a baby Fantastic rearguard today when you factor in the quality of their forward line. Well done everybody.

Been at work all day and had to follow the game on my shitty mobile Decent rearguard action then? Anything up front to shout about?

Woodgate has done pretty well for a 'crock' ;D Although Huth didn't look at his best today, he certainly seemed more comfortable on the right than he did in the last 2 seasons and was a step up from Wilko. If Pulis can work his magic with Upson then a back four of Huth Shawcross Woodgate and Upson, with Wilson and Palacios in midfield we should be looking at 50+ points this season. Fucking Pulis, you just can't help but love the bloke.

Begovic man of the match for, absolutely fantastic.
The entire defence had fantastic games and the wingers were both doubled up on which certainly put them out of the game for large periods.
One thing to me was blatant though, due to centre midfield (and the wingers being doubled up on due to us having no threat there) both strikers were completely cut off, Walters ended up sitting deeper than ever and we were only ever going to score, therefore, from set-pieces.
A bit more quality in the middle, who can pick a pass or thread in a through-ball (as well as providing that defensive cover) and we will certainly be one hell of a force in my opinion. Stoke's future just looks brighter and righter each season!

Yeah, looking back maybe Bego deserved MOTM but I was so impressed with Woodgate and how consistent he was all game, I suggested it should be him without considering anyone else.

We now have one of the best defences in the premiership, I'd say manure, chelski and man city are better, us and spurs are fairly even, I think we have a better defence than arseholes and liverpool

I just like how we're fucking nails. Sometimes they're fair, sometimes they're just plain cynical. Either way, they're fucking hard. Shawcross' booting of Torres was a cracking bit of cynicism. Huth is just a machine and I think I love him. The way he just goes around tackling anything is great. I think he put Ashley Cole's knee somewhere in the John Smith's Upper this afternoon.
Woodgate looked quality. I just hope we can keep him fit.

On its day, our defence, as a unit, is arguably the best outside the top four

On its day, our defence, as a unit, is arguably the best outside the top four Who are the top 4 ? Serious question. I meant Big Four Force of habit and recent years, it's the four of Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. I think in the past two years, we're seeing Arsenal and Liverpool possibly in danger of falling out of that with the emergence of Man City and arguably Spurs. I'd say it's more of a Bigger Two, Man United and Chelsea with Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Man City competing for the other two Champions League places Call it more of a "Big Two plus the Biggish Four but the Biggish Four won't win the title" I haven't explained this well, I know

Shawcross shat his way to MOTM tonight, he was fucking stellar. Seriously, he was fucking mint.
I might even have a wank over that tonight.
