It seems to be a cup that nobody cares about until the later rounds although it is still Stoke City's only major trophy.
Anyhow the draw was made earlier today and we are at home to Blackpool in the first round.

Paid a tenner for the stream. Currently watching the sprinklers watering the pitch. No sound yet which might be a good thing because the sound of all that water splashing around might make me want a piss.
Here come the teams....

Blackpool easily the better team. Just had a massive goal mouth scramble in our box. We've had a few half chances but Blackpool look the most likely to score.

Mcclean and Thompson had their penalties saved but Davies saved two and in sudden death after Bruno and Oakley Boothe had scored, some former Crewe player put his peno wide for Blackpool.
0-0 and 5-4 on penalties.

Poor Phil Babb having to draw the home and away teams for two draws. He's gonna be knackered.
Wolves away in the second round.

If we beat Wolves away in round two we will be at home to either Gillingham or Coventry City.

Tough match for us tonight (7pm kick off) as we take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at The Custard bowl. The tossers at Sky decided against showing this match and are showing some Southern softy shit between Brighton and Portsmouth instead.
Not sure if Wanky Wolverhampton Wanderers are providing a live stream.
If we win tonight then we get to take on the mighty Gillingham in the next round, who normally beat us - the cunts!

A bit late to be posting the team news now but better late than never. Seven changes. Jimmy Mac is back as are a few of the younger players. Another £10 splashed out for the stream. Hope it is worth it!

Not a great deal happened in the first half. Wolves with the majority of the possession. Even in terms of chances with neither team creating anything clear cut. We perhaps looked most likely to score with Vokes getting on the end of a couple of crosses. The first one hit the defender that was marking him and the second looped harmlessly over the bar. Adama Traore is dangerous when he has the ball for the wolfies but fortunately our hard graft and closing down in midfield and defence has been working to neutralise most of Wolverhampton's attacking play. I'd settle for a second half that's as uneventful as the first if we can sneak a goal from somewhere.
