Well that was worth getting back from hols for, if that's us with only one new player I'm feeling dangerously good about this season.
9*

Ran out of ideas and legs, but nothing he could have done about it with the squad available

9.5 when you factor in the quality of the opposition. Three clean sheets in a row and a very good centre half in situe who surely can only get better. Only a goal and a win would have made the game better and not many teams will beat Chelsea this year. I'm more than satisfied

We've got two new players.
Rating Pulis holding him accountable for the lack of new signings for midfield, 6.
Rating Pulis solely with what was available to him, 8. No nonsense defending, a lot of players showed guts and determination paddling against the constant stream of attacks, but far too much of the possession was wasted hoofing it twenty yards to no one.
Fucking brilliant display really considering the powerhouse that is Chelsea. Reminds me of the back against the ball, siege 1st season up.

10 he could not have done anything different with what he had he went early on for a win then held what he had. Perfect management by the Pulister.

solid in defence but we wasn't the greatest attacking threat. The starting 11 was very good but when we lost Etherington and Delap we were hanging on a bit. I'll give Mr. Pulis 8.5, a decent performance against one of the best teams in Europe.
We desperately need some signings though, especially a winger or striker.

A 9 for the match, can't realy fault a clean sheet against Chelsea but marks would be lost as TP ad co haven't got match changing players on the bench

TP couldnt have done anymore and had it tactically perfect today. Would have been great to have unleashed a fully fit Fuller to tie Terry legs in knots for the last 30 mins but with the options available we did very well. Lets not forget we were up against probably the only team who, at this stage, could seriously challenge Man Utd for the title. Love them or hate them, you have to sometimes sit and admire the sheer talent Chelsea have at their disposal. An awesome squad of world class players...that we kept at bay !! Well done TP

as this a rate Pulis against Chelsea thread I think it is a little unfair to pop him for the lack of signings. I really cannot see what he could of done differntley with his squad to get a result against the Chelsea cunts ?

Today alone 9.5.
Fantastic defensive display which are down to his superb organisation, we had a game plan and on another day the ball could have dropped or we could have been awarded a penalty.
The lack of quality central midfielders and back up on the bench is so blatant though now.
