60000 cases of COVID in a day in the UK and hundreds dying every day is as grim as fuck but good old Derby County are doing their best to lighten the mood. Rooney and his entire first team squad have been ruled out of their weekend's FA Cup tie against Chorley as they all have to isolate. It's looking like their only option is to play their youth team or forfeit the match.

It is. That is why Derby are sending out their under 23s who are not in isolation and the remaining players will be under 18s. That way they fulfill the fixture and still have a chance of getting into the next round.
