Saturday 3pm kickoff.
Seems like we have played a ridiculous amount of games so far in 2021. With no game in mid week the players will get a bit of a rest after this one. Hopefully they have enough left in the tank to put in a dominant performance against relegation threatened Wycombe Wanderers.

Clarke in for the injured Baattthhh. Looks like we are going to be more attacking from the start.

Had several chances to score in the first half. Powell hitting the bar and some reasonably good shots and crosses. Also missed out in good positions with a poor final pass a few times. Disappointing that it is still 0-0.

There are no easy games in the Championship so I should be ecstatic with a 2-0 win but while Wycombe had a couple of decent chances, Gunn made a good save from one, we should have had four or five goals. Joe Allen played okay but missed an open goal with a total miss-kick from a few yards out. Fletcher managed to head a simple goal scoring chance in totally the wrong direction, Powell hit the bar and fluffed other chances. The ref gave a few soft free kicks against us when we were about to get into the box and there was a lack of quality with the final pass far too often. Jacob Brown was guilty of this on several occasions which is a pity because his all round play and effort was otherwise fantastic.
Just watching the highlights on the stream and can laugh at the misses now. Our opening goal was some sexy football.
