Aston Villa's fat Brazilian striker has been sent of for falling out with Nick Powell and showing off his boxing skills.
Fortunately his boxing skills are worse than his footballing skills so Powell is fine.

Shit on the Villa etc.
Final score 2-0 to The Mighty Potters.
Aston villa were probably the best team in the first half but fortunately couldn't take their chances. Stoke easily the better of the two teams in the second half even before the sending off. Danny Batth was unlucky not to score with their keeper saving well from a downward header which nearly sneaked inside the post. Wilmot and Mario V. looked like they could be a couple of very good signings. Also both our goals were well worked and well taken.
James Chester got a good reception from the Villa fans when he came on as sub.
The commentary on Villa tv wasn't the worst. Obviously they spent most of their time talking about villa and their players but wasn't totally biased and was more complimentary to Stoke than most 'unbiased commentaries'.

1-1 draw with Wolves for our final pre-season friendly. Couldn't be arsed to go so don't know how we played. A few of our more special fans moaning on Twitter because we couldn't beat Premier league opposition.

Just thought I'd bump this old thread to the top.....
Couldn't remember much about last year's pre-season. Probably due to my apathy that re-reading the thread makes obvious.
Anyhow apart from losing to fucking Wigan, the results from last year's pre season were pretty damn good but had no influence on our season which was a huge disappointment. Maybe this pre-season friendlies being crap will mean we are going to piss this league. Promotion here we come.***
