Not sure how well a job he did of negotiating sponsorship deals, player contracts etc. so its hard to judge how well Scholes did his job and not sure how much influence he had with signing Managers or Cartwright and his recruitment team.
He was definitely blamed by many of our supporters for crap signings which isn't his fault. The recruitment team and the managers we have had are responsible for that. All Scholes did was draw up the contract offers. He also got the blame every time a player turned us down which is probably very unfair.

Probably a good thing that Scholes has moved on as it's one less thing for some of our supporters to constantly moan about.
