Big rumours of Aden Flint coming in from Bristol City, a bit of a Danny Baath type defender He might come via Bristol if he gets the train to Stoke but he is leaving Cardiff City. Don't know much about him but he has got to be an improvement on James Chester or Ben Wilmot. |

Linked with quite a few players but no confirmed signings yet although former Chelsea man Lewis Baker must be happy at Stoke as he has signed a contract extension today.

Aden Flint was officially confirmed as a Stoke player yesterday. Defender who is good in the air and scores goals from corners.
Hopefully Flint will spark our promotion flames...

I'm not really on the ball with this season's transfer window.
Yesterday defender Harry Clarke signed on a season long loan from Arsenal. He had previously been on loan at Hibernian.
Also Alfie Dougherty has left Stoke to sign for Nathan Godwilling Jones's Luton Town for an undisclosed fee. Probably no great loss. He is a player with skill, pace and promise but maybe tries too hard. He often attempted to beat three men and lose possession instead of passing the ball.

Josh Laurent tweeted that he was on his way earlier and about four hours ago (I missed the announcement as I was busy painting a fence) Stoke have finally confirmed him as our third signing of the window. Reading fans are not happy that he has signed for us on a free transfer instead of signing a new contract with them. Sounds like a good bit of business.  |

Joe Allen has said he is happy at Stoke under MON's leadership and has unfinished business with the Potters.
Hopefully he will sign a new contract and stay at Stoke.
