I was in Tesco in Newry which the lad had wanted to visit to ride on the travelator, and I saw some bloke coming down the other side balancing a Laz-Y-Spa on his trolley. Intrigued by this sight, I managed to inspect a small collection of said devices which were being sold off at some 180 of your english pounds. Not long later, I had managed to squeeze the box into the car and off I went.
I established the said purchase in a corner of my garden and set it up easily enough despite the lack of decent instructions. I created a suitable ambiance with some brushwood screening and solar powered lights and turned the device on. When it has heated to 36 degrees of temperature, I entered the frothing maelstrom and it was bliss. 24 hours later, myself and my bikini clad female companion were sat in the bubbly paddling pool drinking champagne and frankly dear readers, I felt like I had achieved the pinnacle of my entire life. Literally, I had the uncomfortable feeling that it was all downhill from that point.
So, in summary, I would count the purchase as possibly the best 180 quid I have ever spent. Subsequently, I have mounted a tv bracket to the back wall which allows the rapid fixment of a 32 inch tv so I can watch Bangers & Cash in my frothing love pool.
Would the fellow Board members care to share any reminiscences of their favourite impulsive purchase??

Looks like a real investment there Northy. If it continues to double in value it will be worth 40p in 30 years time. The free TV remote control that comes with it will be useful though.
