Ok, I’ve no axe to grind either way re TP , but looking back, how do we look at the assessment of his time here. The team he built to take us up and how the squad evolved subsequently. TP was criticised for not having a Plan B, but did he not produce as possibly the pinnacle of his team, a squad with 2 of the most exciting wingers we’ve seen in Pennant and Ethers playing in the same team, ok , they weren’t both at peak performance at the same time that much but even so… and (forgive my poor memory, I’m old), did TP put a full strength side out in the league agasinst Arsenal just before the cup final? I often thought if he’d have rested the players and put a second string out against Arsenal, we’d have pissed on Citeh in the cup final? I’ve been in Ireland 21 years now and the last match I went to was the Cardiff play off first leg, so I’d be interested in your views since you’re all closer to the action ! Part 2 can be “where did Mark Hughes go wrong” …

Ancient history now.
TP did a fantastic job as manager especially in his second spell. Promotion, building a team that could survive in the Premier league and FA Cup finalists. He seemed to be playing politics with the Board and being a stubborn twat towards the end of his reign as manager and the team started to go backwards before Hughes came on and gave us Stokalona football with Bojan, Arnie and Shaqiri then he also became a stubborn twat too with playing formations that didn't suit the squad and everything turned to shit.
