it was hughes and coates family who got us into this mess
coates famil didnt want to sign european manager
coates family didnt bring anyone in to help hughes coach defence
both these dcisons set us down
we could still be in premier league if we signed european manager and got rid of hughes sooner. instead we are going the wayy of port vale.

Not sure I blame Hughes, probably did at the time but hindsight shows how much of a mess we had become, was he the man to keep us up? We will never know. Should he of gone sooner? Probably. Again that's hindsight though.
He gave us some of the best football I've ever seen and not just Stoke related. That 4-1 at villa. WOW JUST FKN WOW!!!! battering Chelsea man city and man utd. That boxing day goodison class will be forever remembered.
Thanks Leslie, if I ever bump into him I bear no grudge

Still got pic of him in my phone, met him at MCR airport and 20 min chat . Fantastic bloke He was in front of me in the security line and managed to photograph his arse . Hughes is a bit of a funny one really. There was the Pulis-Hughes spat which made me think "Hughes, what a knob" and then there was all the speculation about who would be taking over from TP when he left, and i thought "please don't be Hughes" and then he gave us a considerable number of great moments!
