Totally agree with scrapping so called smart motorways. They are fucking deadly. As for the boats and stopping them. It's just red meat for the gammons. The government have banged on about stopping them since before brexshit and they have always known that they couldn't. Just hot air.

Variable speed limits = very good. Most effective at increasing capacity and keeping things flowing! No hard shoulder = utterly terrible. That strech just north of Walsall where there is no verge or anything make me - as a Land Rover owner - feel very uncomfortable, wondering what the hell I'm going to do when I inevitably break down.
