Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers are leading the chase for Shaun Wright-Phillips, with a deal having been agreed. It is now believed that Neil Warnock's side have edged in front of the Potters, with productive transfer talks having been held. It is understood that an agreement has been reached, with Wright-Phillips prepared to link up with the Premier League new boys

Why do we have such shit pulling power?
QPR are newly promoted and about to be relegated, not in Europe (who the fuck isn't in Europe these days?), aren't particularly good and not a secure PL side.
Annoys me greatly.

Annoys me greatly. There are only two reasons why we wouldn't get the likes of SWP, Barton etc and QPR would: money and location. Unfortunately modern footballers severely lack any ambition and would rather have an extra ten or twenty thousand a week at some club with a shit ground, shit fans and that's going to be fighting to stay in the league; than go to a club that is a pretty much established Prem club, playing in Europe and has a great fanbase and noisy stadium. Plus, I'm afraid Stoke-on-Trent doesn't quite have the same appeal as West Kensington.
