Not like it's miles away though and to a club that has no history of developing world class talent is it? If I ever got asked to go to Ajax, I'd be there in a fucking flash. Amazing city and a chance to work with coaches that would know how to develop and refine my game He won't get that in this country. He could go to a League 1 club, not be played anyway, be stuck in this shithole of a country, playing in the reserves and not getting the level of coaching he'd get at Ajax A fucking idle, unambitious move that smacks of a willingness to give TP the two fingers to say "I'm good enough to play in the first team" rather than be patient and get some incredible coaching. Well, Mr Parton Jnr and Snr, that may well be the case but you're lightyears behind Sorenson and Begovic Smacks of another player who's being pushed too far by a pushy parent who's drilled it into his head that he's a lot better than what he actually is. Now that's what's hindering his progress |

God there's some anger here, I'm just delighted Dave P's getting his chance in the pro game and I'm chuffed for his dad and the rest of the family too. It's hardly like Stoke's academy feeds the first team a new regular per season, is it?
