Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere at all but I was watching BBC Midlands Today at 6:30pm earlier and to my absolute shock, they stuck footage of us on before the mighty Championship, Midlands powerhouse that is Birmingham
However, as they showed the goals, the main reporter called Glenn Whelan, "Greg Whelan"

The problem we've got with the regional BBC coverage is that the next region that could possibly cover us is BBC North West and that's both the Manchester clubs so we wouldn't get a look in there either

My Nan told me after they said "Greg Whelan" that during the lunchtime bulletin, they didn't even show our goals but showed Birminghams. We just got a two second mention after their goals

NWT actually cover the lower league sides quite well and they always give a fair bit of coverage to the likes of Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Morecombe. There are much more sides in the North West too and to be honest they rarely show the goals from any of the games because there are so many. |
