Just passing on a bit of news. I cant vouch 100% for him but just been chatting to a bloke who has passed on good info to me before. He reckons Palacios has been at the training ground today and its pretty much a done deal (he thinks hes actually signed but he was waiting for confirmation from someone as we spoke). Crouch is defo a target and hes happy to come but floppy chops will give the go ahead after their game tomorrow ( I suppose to see if any long term injuries crop up ). Spurs are hunting another target but would prefer any talk of our signings kept quiet for a few days as public knowledge of us bunging them a pile of cash would up the asking price for their target. He has told me spot on info before and I cant see a reason for him to make it all up. There was only me and him there and hes no need to try and impress me !!!  Heres hoping ;D If I was reading this on the Oaty I'd automatically think it was bollocks. However because its on here I feel genuinely optimistic that its the truth. I love this place and how it doesn't attract children. ;D |

I love this place and how it doesn't attract children. ;D Both players improve the squad so it can only be good if we do get them both. A lot of people criticise Crouch but he does have a good record and decent experience. I rate Palacios as a strong ball winning midfielder who is better than our current defensive midfield options. With the signings of Woodgate (obviously class and will hopefully avoid the injuries that have blighted his career so far) and Upson (despite seemingly being off pace throughout last season he looks good), if they are the only four players we get in during this window it won't be bad work really provided we don't lose anyone. It would be good to see a couple more though I'm now off to the OC start a fight |

The announcement of Palacios and Crouch is rumoured to take place on Monday after THFC have played their game today. To make sure they don't get any major injuries before letting them go. I can't stop smiling! 2 potential signings! It's worth the wait in my opinion  |

I don't think Crouch would fit in here. Can't see him and Jones working well together and can't see either of them sitting on the bench.
Palacios would be ideal though.

There was an old barber who had his shop burned out and rioted during the Tottenham riots, Crouch had his hair cut there and paid for a ticket for him to come to the match.During the riots there was a 80 odd year old man who's shop was trashed near the ground and Crouch, who's a friend of his, gave him and his friend two tickets for the match. It was in the news briefly about his shop getting damagedAt least he's a nice person.
