Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Stoke City did well in the summer market. Ferdinand was among those seemingly impressed with Stoke's last-minute transfer dealing. A couple of the England defender's recent Tweets read: "Rory Delap must be rubbing his hands together – he now has Crouchy, Kenwyne, Jerome, Shawcross, Huth, Woodgate, Upson to aim throw-ins to. "If you give Rory a sly dead arm in the tunnel, do you think it will affect his throw in? Gotta say, I enjoy playing at the Britannia Stadium." www.tribalfootball.com/articles/man-utd-defender-ferdinand-impressed-stoke-transfer-work-1857601

Very nice of him but....
Still the most overrated defender on the planet.

I remember him saying last season, when being interviewed about the Champions League, that Stoke was the most intimidating atmosphere he'd played in. Take that, Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Athens, Celtic... I could go on for some time

If one Celtic fan reads it they'll automatically think they're one of the European powerhouses.

If one Celtic fan reads it they'll automatically think they're one of the European powerhouses. It was more on an atmosphere point of view, rather than footballing quality. I don't think Barca, Bayern or the mighty Stoke would have to go to appeal to try and stay in Europe
