Also has anyone seen the latest Cohen Brothers film. I love their work and haven't seen it yet. Coen Brothers* I liked it but didn't think it was anywhere near their best work, I'd put it nearer Burn After Reading than Fargo. Unbroken or Inside Llewyn Davis? I loved Burn After Reading

Llewyn Davis, surely there aren't any copies of Unbroken knocking about yet? It's not out for nearly 7 months!
I enjoyed Burn after Reading too, but it seemed like abit of a blow-off for them after No Country.

I loved Inside Llewyn Davis, if that's what we're talking about? Wasn't sure if Sausage meant that or Fargo, which I've not had chance to watch yet.

Finally watched City of God today.
Great film, 8/10.
No reasons though.

Watched Bullhead last night. Belgian Oscar nominated thing I taped off film 4.
There's a scene in it that will make every man wince. Pretty fucking nuts all the way through, the premise being Flemish cattle farming gangsters are being fitted up for the murder of a policeman who was head of the illegal growth hormone squad.
7.5/10

They're both down as executive producers on it. Whether that means that they're just consulted on a few things or whether they do the whole job I have no idea.

I posted my love for Grand Budapest Hotel and Wes Anderson on 5th March and not one of you feckers responded or liked but now you're all talking about it. I am now going to flounce off in a huff.

Booo. I'm going to see it tonight. It's got some pretty decent reviews. I'm a sucker for proper apocalyptic shit anyway.

Godzilla is so bad, on so many levels that I wouldn't even know where to start telling you what's wrong with it.

That surprises me not one iota. I said to the missus yesterday after seeing an advert, they would genuinely have to pay me to get me in a cinema to watch that. I wouldn't even go if it was free.
Why does anyone want to see a giant fairytale monster smashing up a few cities before finally being captured or killed? Apart from anything else the precise same story has been done half a dozen times already.
It pains me that shit like this will probably make a fortune while genuinely cracking films from around the world get a tiny limited release then disappear after a week.
It's a bit like watching Oasis sell shitloads of records, you think who the hell is purchasing this shit and then you remember Facebook and twitter and it all kind of makes sense.
I'm going for the populist vote this morning ;D

It pains me that shit like this will probably make a fortune while genuinely cracking films from around the world get a tiny limited release then disappear after a week. I have got a little bit of interest in seeing some big loud monster type thing on a massive screen, you can't replicate that anywhere else, but that curiosity would last about 20 seconds and isn't worth £8, or whatever it is these days, I'd rather cut my dick off. I'm with you on your other gripe n'all, about how many people will flood to see dumb films about giant robot-car thingies that fight or that super hero film that keeps coming out under various names, where they fight giant robot-car thingies at the end in a city. I'd rather cut my dick off. I was teetering with the idea of going to Manchester later to watch Next Goal Wins, which looks fantastic and has only opened in London, Birmingham and Manchester. The cinema in Manchester does a £5 offer on a Tuesday for any film but there's only one screening (which would be tight getting to when everybody has finished work) that wouldn't make us miss the last train back to Stoke; I'm not paying NCP's £200/hour parking rates to drive there either, I'd rather cut my dick off. It's supposed to be brilliant.

Wankzilla would be the most suiting review for it. Bag of shite it was. I'm gutted I missed the Raid 2 at the cinema, the 1st was astounding.
