Watched "Antman" last night. Didn't take itself too seriously and Paul Rudd was good as the lead role. Good fun and a steady 7/10.

I loathe Marvel films and the over saturation of them, but it was alright. Mildly amusing, Paul Rudd was pretty good, can't really be arsed to finish it though.

I thought Monsters University was shit. Monsters Inc. set the bar so high that anything below an 8/10 film was going to be a disappointment to me anyway, but it didn't help itself by taking the plot from an episode of every throw-way American teen sitcom ever made.
I'd seen repeats of the plot a million times on Nickelodeon in the 90's and a few films since that have spoofed it, like 21 Jump Street recently. So to go from one of my favourite animation films with one of the most imaginative stories in cinema to an extended episode of Saved By The Bell where Slater and Screech go off to college made it feel like a really lazy cash-in. At best it's one of those 30 minute spin-offs like they did for Shrek and Toy Story for Halloween and Christmas that people aren't paying cinema prices to see.

Watched 'housebound' last night. Superb kiwi horror-ish type flick. Absolutely fucking superb film, and it's currently on Netflix. Good 8/10. Gave it 4 out of 5 stars on Netflix. Good recommendation there Enrico! If you like that sort of stuff, get yourself a watch of "Scarfies", it's more of the same with an awesome soundtrack as well

Stakeland is a great film! Just watched it, I enjoyed it but the ending was sudden as if there would be a follow up? Kelly Mcgillis has gone downhill since Top Gun

Kelly Mcgillis has gone downhill since Top Gun There's been talk if a sequel for a while but nothing confirmed as of yet. It took me about a hour after I watched it to realise it was kelly mcgillis, she's pretty much unrecognisable these days.

Watching beasts of no nation, probably very close to how it happens to recruiting children into these armies in Africa

Watched "Antman" last night. Didn't take itself too seriously and Paul Rudd was good as the lead role. Good fun and a steady 7/10. What is it with just about every Hollywood action film where we have the estranged wife and kid and the totally blatant outcome? Was enjoying Antman until the same old rubbish again. Never happened in George and Mildred the movie

Watched the first season and really enjoyed it. Not sure why I haven't tackled the second yet but this has reminded me to.
