I used to go see Leek Town a lot in the 90's when Stoke didn't have a game but now I tend to go to Buxton as it's only a few hundred yards away from my house and they sell proper ale  Turning into a lazy git in my old age  Leek town is shite anyway, the ground is just full of people from Leek. Ew. |

Paul Macari was playing for them when I used to go He came back as Assistant manager a year or so ago but again it didn't work. I used to go early 90's and up to the time they were in the Conference level (late 90's). Neil Baker was the manager at the time |

Which leads me to a new thread that i am about to start.......... Think you are best off with a merge ;D Moved away from the potteries when i was 4 but always kept an interest in stafford rangers, we used to play them every pre season. My local non league teams used to be kidderminster harriers and telford united, both of whom me and my old man used to watch if we weren't at stoke. Been to wembley with telford and halesowen town. Also seen leek town a few times, my old man knows neil baker. Kidderminster Harriers are the scum of the earth, as are everybody from Kidderminster. |

Neil Baker was the manager at the time It was around 2001 - 2 when I went, Adam Yates was playing for them as he is the lad I know (he now plays for the Vale) There was a huge lad that was playing at the time who was originally at Crewe with Yatesy but I forget his name now. |

I'll be nipping to see Stafford Rangers a little this season. They are going downwards at an accelerating rate at the moment and need support and money. I went to watch an almost non-league team with my mate last week - Crewe v Oxford. I sat in the Oxford end though. Great seeing Duuubes again.
