I'm looking to buy one for my PC/PS3 Is it worth getting a Logitech or are there better/Cheaper options out there?
I'm not sure anyone will know but it's worth a try I guess. ;D

I've had a few at the budget end of the scale. A logitec GT3 branded one from ps2 which works on PC and ps3
You basically need a proper set up to clamp it in place and get the pedals at the right angle, I found at a computer desk it was just annoying to be Frank. The budget one on the xbox the same. I did read somewhere that almost every single player who gets top 2% scores on Forza is using a £300 type wheel apart from drifting where I've got top 2% scores using a standard controller.
I've also pics of top end gran turismo systems that cost thousands. 3 screens race seat, £300 wheel. These guys have the cash to invest in what is just a hobby, and get the precision from such set ups you'd expect.
You may get more realism from a wheel, but they need time and commitment to get used to, and you will be slower at first

What's your budget. I would get the logitech driving force gt its around 85 queens heads. If u got the wedge a g25 if u can find one or the g27 which is a hell of a lot of money if u ain't playing a lot of racing games tho. If u just play now again maybe just get a cheap thrustmaster but they are poor quality and support.
Get the logitech dfgt u won't regret it.

I don't play racing games that much but if I had a wheel I would, think i'll just save up and try to get a g27. I've waited this long so a while longer wont hurt.

Sorry but if you don't play racing games much because you haven't got a wheel, you are about to spunk £2-300 up a wall getting a G27, if you are seriously into your driving games you'd play them no matter what you had. I've already said the people who get the top times, spend this kind of money on a wheel, what makes you think you'll get anywhere near them till you've spent hours n hours playing these games ? These wheels don't make you a better player automatically, they are bought by the hardcore racers because they are already good players and want to find that extra few %age points I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the top players spend many hundreds of hours playing these games, perfecting their car set ups, perfecting their race lines, they drive without the driving aids most of the time. They've also been hardcore racer gamers for years. I'm good on driving games, but each new one takes a while to get the best from and get good at, and that comes from someone with 20 years experience of driving games, over many platforms, and even I would baulk at spending £300 on a wheel, despite having the readies. heres a rough guide to my virtual driving career Microprose F1GP on the Amiga and some of its sequels en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_One_Grand_Prix_%28video_game%29Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stunt_Car_RacerTest Drive and Test Drive 2 on the amiga en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_Drive_%28video_game%29Lotus Turbo Challenge and sequels on the amiga en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_%28series%29All played on a digital joystick, that means either no throttle or full throttle, etc Need for Speed (I, II, III, Porsche Challenge) all on PC with Keys en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Need_for_SpeedGran Turismo 2,3,4,5 on PS, PS2, PS3 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_%28series%29Forza 2 and 3 on XBOX360 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forza_MotorsportTOCA on PS2 n PS3, almost all the series en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOCA_Touring_Car_seriesPlus loads of others such as London Racer Riding Spirits Burnout (all of them) MotoGP WSB I've driven more Driving games than I care to remember, and I don't use a wheel, because at the end of the day £300 is just the start, then you need one of these www.playseat.com/en?gclid=CIbg3YnRmqoCFcce4QodzXubwA
