Maccabi fan (c/o 6 Towns Radio).. In terms of Stoke, any team that has Jermaine Pennant and Jonathan Woodgate is a good team, but I think we fear Peter Crouch the most, with his height and head game, he will make any ball flying high an goal opportunity. Our goalkeeper isn’t great with high balls, so good luck! 6towns.co.uk/news/2011/10/maccabi-tel-aviv-fan-interview ;D

I know they've won the most titles in their league and they've been in the Champions League a few times..(c/o Wiki) I'm sure I read somewhere that they have only ever really got to Europe twice, they have fucked up plenty of qualifiers, and never qualified. Once in CL and now in EL. Their fans seem to think that their 'experience' will make them a force in our group, the experience of losing? I speak to a couple on Facebook every now and then, they are very patronising about us, they think they are bigger and better than us, despite having a much smaller ground, and topping a league that has the equivalent of 2 similar teams (Bolton & Fulham) and a load of league 2 and conference sides (Vale, Accrington Stanley, etc..) They think they are ace because they beat Panathinaikos, despite it being the laws of averages, if you lose 49 qualifiers, you're probably bound to win one. Anyway, I hope we win ;D

As a devout anti-semite, I'm hoping for a win.

Why do people always sum up my posts in 8 words or less straight after?

Just not particularly debate inspiring.

I kid. It's a strange view to take about their "experience" though, especially given that it's the home leg for us, might have more bearing in the away leg. We've hardly faired badly against the more experienced sides, Split, Thun, Kiev and Bestikas all have more "European" experience than us, saying that... Who other than Vale has less experience in Europe.

Bestikas beat them 4 or 5-1 in Turkey, and there away record is not good in europe. I think we will win no doubt it not being easy way.
Think the group will come down to away games for all teams and we picked up a point away in the hardest group imo so we are in good stead and if we win the home and away in Maccabi then I think we are through!

I'd play a near full strength team for this one
Sorro Wilko Huth Upson Wilson Pennant Delap Whelan Ethers Walters Crouch
Begovic Jones Jerome Shawcross Shotton Whitehead Diao
Fancy us to win it, say 2-0

Need to show everyone what we're made of with this. No prisoners, no mercy.
That said, just getting the three points will do me nicely.

"They're a really good side, they're a very silky team with some very good players and they move the ball around ever so quickly. Again, it's a massive test for us."
TP on European powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv...

If KJ plays we should hammer them. Yup. I can honestly see Kenwyne inserting cock tomorrow night if he gets the right service.
