Cant fault the effort today. Begovic was outstanding, apart from the late mishap, and defensively we threw everthing at the ball to keep them out. Great performance against a very very good side. At times we were our own worst enemy giving the ball away needlessly and with some very wayward passing but we know that can improve. Didnt really see enough of Palacios but he looked ok and Crouch had some good touches. His partnership with Walters looks really exciting, it just needs time and a few games to get the understanding between them. At the start of the day I would have happily taken a point but to come away with all three is fantastic. We may not be the most gifted or technical side but we are bloody hard to beat.
We are Stoke City, we`ll play how we want... ;D

I haven't long got in from the match, has anybody in the media actually said it shouldn't have been a penalty? I saw Dalglish's interview talking like it was common knowledge it shouldn't have been a pen. Now I've seen it on ESPN goals, definite penalty... Carragher wrapped his arm around Walters and pulled him down.
What's he moaning about?

No idea at all, penalty all day long. Walters muscled him off the ball then Carragher pulled him down.

Delap and Whitehead had a cracking game in midfield. I thought TP took Delap off too soon. Walters ran his legs off and looked knackered at the end. Jones was played ridiculously out of position, didn't suit him at all. As usual the ref was an inconsistent wanker and it was a DEFINITE penalty. Liverpool fell into the trap that many teams do of beliving that we can't soak up pressure. Also they are obviously trying the 4-3-3 thing and failing miserably with Downing and Suarez dropping back into midfield which clearly didn't work. Kuyt and Carroll may as well have not been on the pitch. Oh and Charlie Adam is a twat. GO ON STOKE. Excellent result and up to fourth ;D

I love Stoke City. As for fourth in the league ;D Let's enjoy it while it lasts. The receptions for the three new players were outstanding, well done Stoke fans. They're creaming about the saves/multiple blocks on 62 minutes on the radio.

It's amazing to think that we didn't play our best today, and we took 3 points off a Liverpool team who played excellent. Fuck knows what Dalglish in moaning about, I saw him going on about talking to his own board about it? Penalty all day long and the Upson 'handball' would have been very harsh given how close he was and how quickly it all happened. If Suarez (what a performance btw) would have tucked it away in the last min you'd have to say a draw would have been fair, but we won so fuck that
