Ok Tone isn't likely to suddenly get the brain implant, but remember what happened starting from Wolves away in the promotion season, when we said fuck it away from home and played end to end??
We now have the quality to do that somewhere like Arse, where confidence is really fragile and I honestly think we'd be more likely to win it 3-2 than get tonked 5-0. There are only 3 or 4 teams we need to show so much respect to away and Arse are no longer one of them.
My serious prediction is a 2-1 win and Arsene to hospital with a burst ulcer at half time.

They have Vermaelen, Gibbs, Sagna and Jenkinson out, Mertersacker has the turning circle and speed of an oil tanker, Koscielny is a liability...
They don't have a defence we should worry about, if we get at them that is...

Don't get me wrong, I think we have the quality to beat them on their own patch but our away form coupled with there current decent form doesn't bode well.

We can win it, we probably won't though.
Sal has summed it up, away games where we should respect and be pretty cautious -
Man utd Chelsea Man City Liverpool Tottenham Everton
Anybody else we should just go for it, we may get the odd tonking, but we'd make up for it with more away wins and draws.

A draw would be massive for us.
I get a funny feeling we'll let in a really stupid goal early on though.

Their defence is shocking, Arshavin is right out of form, Walcott is, well Walcott, Wilshere is still out, Gervinho and Chamakh are nothing special, there's only Ramsey and Van Persie to concern us and neither tend to finish 90 minutes against us...
2-1 to us.. ;D

The line up the Guardian reckons: Also: • Stoke have managed just six shots on target and one goal (from a penalty) in their last three league visits to the Emirates Stadium

Euro hangover + Arsenal curbing their shit start and gaining confidence = nothing but a defeat for me I'm afraid.
I still think they've got a better midfield and strike-force than us so I don't think we're ready to be taking them on gung-ho at the Emirates just yet.

Arsenal looked good against Sunderland. They were unlucky not to be a few up the way they played. However, they missed a fair few chances against Sunderland. Stoke's defence is good enough to keep a clean sheet which I wouldn't be surprised to see us doing. We just need to hope they're having 'one of their days'. (Arsenal that is).

From the Arsenal forum: 'They sit back, soak up pressure and bring all their 6ft+ lumps of meat up for set pieces to try and nick something. Hopefully they don't injure anyone.' 'Let's smash these mugs.' 'Smash the cavemen.' 'Should say 'The Thuggers' 'Beating the knuckle scrapers of Stoke will be a step in the right direction. Even better, Ramsey scoring the winner, then going to celebrate in front of Tony Pulis, the most odious manager in the league' 'Stokuntz' To be fair to the little darlings there's a lot of grown up posts there too...
