Not overly thrilled with this but Cole is a step up from Big Mama and Capello would probably overlook him for England if he became a Stoke player.

I'd be happy with Cole at that price but I'd prefer Jerome out of the 2.
Not both, although that's who we'll end up with mind you...

I'd rather have neither and push the boat out for Sturridge.
And before you slag me off I know it won't happen but I can dream.

Unfortunately though BM, Sturridge was quoted at £20mill according to rumours this morning and I don't want to see us pay wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over the odds for someone

I'm in the Jerome over Cole camp too. I wouldn't particularly mind either but to have both is a bit of a worry as, without Fuller, we're limited to our front line being all power and not a lot in the way of pace and skill. I know Pulis has his ways and maybe he'll still go for another nippy, goal poacher type but if we get Jerome and Cole, I can't see it.

£5m? I'd take that; don't see why some people would think twice about it; When he gets the service he WILL score & he'd certainly fit in well here. Cole for £5m or Jerome for £8m?...hmmm

Sturridge, Jerome, Cole in that order but I really wouldn't have a problem with signing Cole, just so long as no-one thinks he's the one to rock the city. He'd play our system really well, Cole and Walters doesn't sound glamorous but could work like crazy.

where's KJ in all of this sal ? Right in the mix too but I reckon last season was how it'll be with KJ, terrific but streaky. Perming 2 from those 3 or occasionally all 3 feels good to me (assuming Ric drops down a division in this window or January and Mama... well, stays on the payroll for being a top bloke I guess but can you honestly see him starting many more Prem games?).

We'll just shove KJ into hibernation over the winter months, he was toss when it was cold. Bring him back out from about March onwards once it starts getting warmer again and he'll hit top form like he did last season
Shove Cole/Jerome in over KJ's "Hibernation Period", jobs a good 'un

Some people(not on here) really fucking piss me off about Cole/Jerome/Bothroyd and generally any other decent/average striker. Look at our fit strikers.Kenwyne Jones, Jon Walters and who? Nobody. Fuller and Mama won't be match fit 'til next year. Why the fuck don't you want anybody who can walk?! Players like Defoe, Crouch, Sturridge, Gyan, Agbonlahor and other big names, they're not going to ask their agent about clubs, and reply to Stoke with "Get in, let's get this done within the day". What they'll do is think, yeah, Stoke, decent club, but I can do better. They'll wait for offers from bigger clubs, or sit on their contracts. Then on deadline day, or in the last week they'll rethink, well, maybe nobody is that interested in me, Stoke are very interested, they're a good club, don't mint dropping my wage too much. But then they'll think, why would I swap Manc/Brum/London/NE for Stoke on Trent, I can easily sit here on 60k a week at this big club than go for40k at Stoke and get hoofed at. Some will sit, wait and then join right at the death, some will sit, wait and fuck you over. This has happened a lot with Stoke, Jenas being one. We're always in for him, always talking to him, then it never happens. So back to the delusional cunts. Why do you want to go for Gyan, Sturridge and Defoe now? They will think, and they get back to you 2 days before the first game starts and say sorry, no thanks. Then what? We're FUCKED, with 2 strikers. Get anybody who can walk in at this stage! Jerome(for a realistic amount or part of Dann deal) and/or Cole(£5m) would be great business at this stage. People will talk about their goalscoring records. Well nobody plays like Stoke. Villa would get 1 in every 48 games for us, doesn't make him shit. Jerome played in a 451 last year in a defensive Brum side, and Cole was in the side that got relegated. They're not exactly gonna get 20 each in them teams! Cole would be perfect for us, big, strong, can play either striker position for us and TP loves him. Let TP mould him into a Mama-esque player and he'll bang them in for us. Same for Jerome, much needed pace too! What the fuck is wrong with you people?! Let's get 1 decent/average striker in now: DJ Campbell, Jerome, Cole, Bothroyd, even players like Mackail-Smith. Then for the rest of the window we can pathetically chase unrealistic dream signings like Gyan, Agbon, Defoe, Sturridge. If we get them, great, we'll have Dream Signing/Jones/Walters/Decent squad signing. Perfect 4. KJ and Dream signing would obviously start(I think), KJ being TP's ultimate striker and new guy being too good not to play, with the 2 very hardworking squad players on the bench in Walters and Jerome/Cole/Bothroyd whoever! So for that reason, Jerome or Cole would be fucking superb. WFW will moan he's a fat lump of wankness, March will moan he's not a CB and Bayern will moan the price is inflated by at least 450%. But it would be amazing business, no doubt. In TP we trust.

You missed Huth out Penks, he should play up front.
I don't actually think this, but I would bloody love to see it happen, just out of curiosity ;D I want to see his Champions League striking appearance. Get Samba up there with him too ;D

He's a battering ram but also has that pace. I can just imagine him smashing Terry out the way, burning through one on one with Cech, and then he just smashes it into Row38. ;D Maybe that's why we're signing Dann? "Robert lad, you scored 11 from center half last season, let's see if you can get 30 upfront..." ;D

Remember Ryan banging them in his first season?? Switch players like that are rare, Dion Dublin's the last I can remember who was equally good in both positions in his pomp but it would really suit Stoke's style, def when we have two fit wingers on the pitch. For the oldies, John Charles was the all-time great CB/CF switch - similar physique to Mr Huth.

I noticed at a lot in a game that we're losing by a goal or drawing and trying to win that either Ryan or Huth will stay up the pitch almost like an emergency striker.
