"Major League Shocker: Stoke upset by inflated price tag for US midfielder
Houston Dynamo midfielder Geoff Cameron has been valued at £2.2million - well above what the Potters are willing to pay
Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is reeling from the shock £2.2million valuation put on United States midfielder Geoff Cameron by the Major League Soccer authorities.
Pulis is keen on Cameron, with his club Houston Dynamo also happy to let him leave as a reward for his service - but the American rulers slapped a bigger price on his head than expected.
The Potters were looking at a bargain deal around £1.5million to £1.7million and the new tag puts the deal at risk as they are upset by an additional charge of almost 50 per cent on their calculations.
Cameron now faces an uncertain future - with his big chance of coming to the Premier League in doubt. The MLS ‘control’ all player contracts and fees and are unlikely to change their minds."
Why are being so fucking picky over such a small amount of money?

Would anyone else not be that bothered if we just completely pulled out?
He's not going to be as good as Huth, Shawcross or even Upson. Plus, its not like he's one for the future, he's 27 ffs!

Jesus H fookin Christ, it's not as if they are paying over the odds for him is it? We are paying like a million pounds for somebody that they want to play in the premier league, not as if we are wasting £8m on an unfit and injured player is it? we'd never do that Not really the point is it? Just commenting on how happy you are to moan about Stoke getting the best deal they can when if it was your money you'd be exactly the same. not really, if it was my money then it wouldn't be a problem as it's that low of a price. My problem would have been seeing the manager spunk the likes of £18 million on crouch and palacios and not being able to get a return

It is understood that MLS are in negotiation with Lee Trundle who controls the registrations to all of the houses in Trentham. "I'm very excited at the prospect of moving to Stokeshire" said Cameron. Stoke are seen as especially keen on the move as they can recycle some of Cameron Jermones old training kits."Why are being so fucking picky over such a small amount of money?

Houston Dynamo are hopeful that the deal to take their defender Geoff Cameron to Stoke City will soon go through. Stoke have made a firm offer to sign the American international defender, but they have yet to agree a fee. Major League Soccer own the rights to every player, so Stoke have to negotiate with the league rather than Houston themselves. Reports in America claim Stoke bid $1million (£650,000) but MLS want closer to $3million (£1.9million) for the 27-year-old. After talks in England last week, Cameroon returned to the States and even played in their 4-0 win over DC United at the weekend. "I think (Monday is) a key day in determining whether or not the transfer is going to happen or not," Dynamo president Chris Canetti said in the Houston Chronicle. "We had a positive weekend where there were good discussions and both sides kind of understood what it's going to take to make a deal happen. "We will share proposals and see if we can get closer to a deal." Cameron hopes that the win over DC United was his last for Houston. "It was a great way to end it here, especially if it was my last game," Cameron said. "Can't thank the Dynamo fans enough. They were amazing and always are."
Reading that it sounds like he wants come, Houston Dynamo want him come Stoke & its just the MLS that holding it up...but we have offered £650k its no wonder they told us jog on considering they got £2.5m for Tim Ream; I'll be honest dont think they'll get the £1.9m they probably want; £1.4m would seal the deal imo & no offence but Coatesy probably wipes his arse with £50 notes

They'll probably make a movie about it.
Once upon a time English soccerball outfit Stoke City infested America. They tried their muscle with Houston but Houston had no problem. Not this time. In this war epic see how America defeated Britain in a trial of determination, power and negotiation.
Zac Effron portrays budding 28-year-old utility man Geoff Cameron who struggles to deal with the effects of "The Potters" invasion. Re-stacking CD's, taking naps - see his world fall apart as Houston Dynamo and MLS transfer negotiators tackle the England brutes. Will Geoff survive the ordeal? Find out September 10 at a cinema close by.

Darrell Lovell @darrelllovell According to Chris Canetti No decision on Cameron today. Seems like urgency is setting in to get things resolved. For Cameron and the team.
