I'm not that arsed whether we sign him or not, I think it's just more the fact that I want us to sign 'someone'. Tone really rates him and I trust his judgement, but if he's going to start being precious then he can fuck off.
Part of me wishes we took the plunge on Ba, first or second time round, even if his knee is ready to explode in spectacular fashion.

If we were ever in for both Sturridge AND Cole, technically that's 6 million we'd save, from not buying Cole so the extra however many millions wouldn't seem like that much of a dent in the kitty... That's my logic any road. Then on to buying some mid fielders that we sorely need. Hopefully now the squad and Tone are back we can start seeing some movement. |

What's all this rubbish being spouted that his wage demands weren't too high, they were just more than we think he's worth. In my book, that means his wage demands were too high.

Well one of two things there either his agent is a thick cunt and hasn't realised we have a set wage stucture or he the bonuses etc were not up to what he required (I would of added them on goal bonuses as we would of saved a fucking fortune)

I hope we go full throttle at Sturridge now. Really want him but Stoke need to hurry the hell up for once and stop dicking around, otherwise another club will snap him up and we'll end up with Benjani.
Also it hopefully stops Pulis' jizzfest over Cole. I wanted him, but I'm not fussed that we aren't getting him and I'd rather Pulis stopped creaming himself over him so we can concentrate on better players.

If he was banging in 20 a season, then I'd expect Stoke would do more to bring him in. But the more stories I hear about him, the more I can imagine he employs people to tell him how good his shit smells.
