£4.5mill plus add-ons is an excellent deal for him
Really pleased with the management team with this in terms of how we've dealt with it financially. He's a player that'll fit straight in as well

If we get him for £4.5 million I'll be well happy.

No complaints from me. Not the most gifted finisher but the rest of his game is very decent That's the opposite of the description I'd use for Carlton Cole, I'd say he's a good finisher but he's slow and his work-rate is poor. I reckon he'll replace Kenwyne Jones as the target for those dog-shit moan/groan fans that the Brit was full of last season... especially if they are expecting the rest of his game to be very decent.

I thought he was a white John Walters.

Im not over the moon but I trust TP`s judgement. He obviously feels he can work with him and turn him around. If the deal goes ahead lets give it time to work before anyone gets on his back. Look how Walters turned out...

Well we shall have to see if he comes. I think he's reasonably sharp for a big man, he puts in a decent shift, is strong and good in the air. Unfortunately he needs 5 chances to score 1

According to West Ham fans, his work rate is always top notch, and something you can never criticise him over.

Seriously though if Carlton does sign and the goals aren't getting banged in left right and centre, just brace yourselves for the mouth breathers to come out and tell us all how wank he is.

All we need now is to get Sidibe fit, and let our three lumps head it to each other all game.
Our possesion stat's will improve greatly.

How will TP line us up then with him and KJ. Which one will be "in the hole" and which one will be "up top" as they say?

If there was just the two of them on, you'd think Cole would be up top as he's the more natural finisher. I have a feeling that Walters will be one of the key men next season: if we get Jones and Cole up front we might see him playing behind the two of them as a link between midfield and the strikers (and of course JW can play up front too).

Good business, congrats to all concerned. Carlton for England!!
