so in other words you've got nothing to add to my match summary you inbred pair of nonces ;D It's a crock of shit match report. Arsenal dragged the game down. The play-acting, diving and gamesmanship on show from your lot was nothing short of spectacular. You made the whole match very scrappy. The referee had a poor game, which didn't help either side. You appear to have bought very poorly. We have Jon Walters up front... what's your excuse? I'd be surprised to see you qualify for any sort of European competition this season. Best Arsenal player on the pitch was Diaby, by a considerable margin.

I actually thought Arsenal looked quite good. They weren't as tip tappy as normal and Giroud looks sharp, and was unlucky not to score. Their defence looked solid too. We both cancelled each other out, both teams defended well but didn't do much going forwards. It wasn't a great game but I don't think it was either team's fault. Once Arsenal click they'll be fine and will finish 4th. Sorry for having a boring and honest opinion

Arsenal were poor, at no point at all during the game was I even considering the thought that they would score. That was okay though for them, because there was even less of a threat from Stoke.

It's worrying just how biased Lee Mason is in this game... certainly was, definitely on Arsene's pay roll Mason was OK. No worse than most of the players. Easy game to referee with so few incidents. He got the two bookings right which were the only dodgy tackles in the match. He didn't see our penalty claim in the first half and the Gibbs/Pennant one would have been soft. The only advantage Arsenal got was when he waved play on after a Stoke foul in the first half and we nearly scored. He denied Stoke a similar advantage in the 2nd half when he called back a quickly taken free kick.

Fucking hell fire, it was boring wasn't it?
Arsenal look as threatening as a baby giggling at The Hoobs going forward. One dimensional, predictable garbage. Play it forward, pass to Cazorla, pass it out wide, back to Cazorla, pass it out wide, cut back into the box, lose ball, regain possession, pass forward to Cazorla, pass it out wide, back to Cazorla, pass it out wide, cut back into the box, lose ball. Continue until the game is over
They looked stronger though, Diaby has improved huge amounts, Giroud, once he finds his finishing boots, will be a good signing and Gibbs looks more defensively solid too. I think not having one player carrying them (RVP) will be a good thing for them and they might realise that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. What team does that sound like?
If they finish in the top four then that'll be a big achievement for them because, right now, they look very average
Anyways, onto us.. defensively sound as per usual. Geoffrey had a great debut, just needs a little bit of work tracking his runners. Noticed a couple of times the man he was marking would lose him but he looked very composed with the ball at his feet. Whelan had another decent game, rarely made a mistake and worked well with Cameron in the middle. Kightly tried too hard at times and ended up running the ball out of play
I think if we get a couple of players in before the deadline, we'll be ok and a bit more threatening going forward. There's definitely three teams worse than us in the league this season. It's not ideal but I'd do anything to stay in this league, especially with the big TV deal kicking in next season. We must survive this season at any cost and if it means enduring a season of binary garbage then so be it
More positives than negatives from today

Crouch got battered and sandwiched in the first half and he just ignored it Overall a typical Pulis borefest but a point for us, he made sure of a point by taking off our players who had just sprung into life and were pushing forward and kept his useless illegitimate son on golden boy Walters

I don't think it was a penalty. You knew straight away as soon as JP got in the box he was going down, and he did under minimal contact. The ref also knew that. Don't think the ref was that bad, thought he was a bit inconsistent but nothing major to deal with. He certainly wasn't worse than the football on display! Was impressed with Cazorla at times but he didn't really offer a cutting pass, just played it around well. Giroud and Podolski will do well against the lesser defences. I think we kept them very quiet today. Walcott didn't really get in the game, neither did the Ox. Nice of our lot to give him a clap Gervinho was shit. His mental capacity is not great enough to control his own feet...! He was in a decent position to pick a man or pull it back.

Not the greatest game of football ever but it had its moments. The atmosphere was a bit flat too for much of the game. Strange subs again. I could understand Pennant being subed as he was recovering from injury but to put Walters wide for 5 mins before sticking him back up front suggests to me that TP realised he'd fucked up there. Still Arsenal are a good team who will finish 4th or 5th, so a draw today isn't a bad result.

Mason has been involved in a few contentious decisions in that time. Maybe that swayed him not to give it. Not sure why some of you believe refs dance to our tune, because the evidence says otherwise. I can't remember Stoke going down to any dodgy refereeing decisions at Emirates since you got promoted.

The lines man in front of the Seddon was dog shit. For both sides he seemed to miss obvious decisions.

I think we played the ball on the floor a lot better today! Less long ball, a few from Shawcross and Wilson was his usual self. Not sure what was going on from our goal kicks though...
Thought Shawcross looked very comfortable in possession, minus the dodgy pass back.

well lets not forget the 1971 FA Cup semi final where the Arse scored in the 4th, yes 4th minute of injury time (they never had it in those days) from a corner that was given after a blatant foul on Banks to salvage a draw, Stoke had been 2-0 up and the 1972 FA cup semi replay where Radford scored from about 5 yards offside, and the linesman admitted after that he had mistaken a programme seller on the far side of the pitch as a Stoke defender as he had a white coat on Bitter, still holding grudges...... No

Played more football; but we never looked like we wanted to attack at all. For us to beat Arsenal we have to play as a team but we seemed to play as a bunch of individuals who have never kicked a ball with each other and that was the main reason why we never got a win from the game because that is THE worst Arsenal side I've ever seen they were so poor and they lacked genuine pace until they brought The Ox & Walcott on in the last 10 minutes which is awful management by Wenger. Begovic was solid and never looked really troubled, the defence was solid as a rock and Shawcross is coming of age now looked genuine class, Wilko chopping down Podolski (it was Podolski wasnt it? haha) on the edge of the box really pissed me off he didnt need do it. Geoff Cameron I think his performance has been over hyped he looked a bit lost at times and didnt know what do; but as the game went on he improved and im highly confident he's going be a star for us, Kites when he got the ball looked good but I dont think he touched the ball more than 5 times, Whelan was cack in the 1st half; but 2nd half he did alright, Pennant WOW anyone else think he looked a stone overweight?; right chunky sod! and he was terrible with little interest, Walters worked aaaaaard & Crouch thought he was poor again; Mertesacker had him in his back pocket. The substitution of Shotton for Crouch I still cant believe that happened when you have KJ on the bench just shows he's off. Palacios and Cameron in middle looked good for the 15 minutes or so and hope Pulis gives it a full game. Overall awful match and never thought id say a Stoke home game vs Le Arse would be so boring. We need a nippy striker with goals & a winger urgently.
Edit - Im typing with one eye; its hard.
