Off topic, do you think this davesview fella just works on the website? He's got a very good ' about to sign' record, hasn't he? I remember him calling the Walters signing on the right day too.

Just when he said a player would be announced this afternoon made me think. Saying a player would be announced soon or in a few minutes would be too obvious, but I think he just updates the website.

I'm much happier than I thought I'd be with this signing.
We've got three quality centre backs now, with Higgy to come back. I think we just need one young CB in as cover now.

fantastic player, Tony Pulis and his team appear to be good at managing player's injury problems, so we might get to see Woodgate back to his best.

Good of him to look the part, unlike Wilson last season the scruffy bastard. I think he'll be hungry for it. I'm praying we can get him and ultimately, keep him fit.

I'm happy with the deal for Stoke City and football in general,
next is Owen Hargreaves on the same deal then ;D

In reality, I know it isn't important in the slightest, but I'm always impressed when players make sure they look smart for negotiations/photographs.

I'm happy with the deal for Stoke City and football in general, next is Owen Hargreaves on the same deal then ;D Apparently West Brom are about to offer Hargreaves very similar terms to the ones we've given Woodgate. I wouldn't be unhappy with Hargreaves at all, but with the 25 man squad, maybe it would be unwise to have both.

In reality, I know it isn't important in the slightest, but I'm always impressed when players make sure they look smart for negotiations/photographs. Just makes that bit of difference doesn't it? If he bowled up with something like Ric would wear, or like Gudjohnson in a t shirt and leather jacket or again for example Wilson in a fucking hoodie, just gives you the impression they aren't that phased or arsed about it. But looking a bit smart, shows they are interested and haven't got the same mentality as a lot of footballers have these days. Just like any typical job interview I guess, but you'd expect. It's a bit silly but just from that photo it makes me think he's really keen on this. Like we're doing him a favour rather than the other way round. Good lad.
