Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam is set to miss tomorrow's Premier League game with Tottenham following the death of his father this week.
Defender Ryan Shotton is available again having completed a one-match suspension, but Michael Owen is not yet ready to return from injury.
Hope we don't swap Adam for Whitehead like we did at Villa. Not sure I can take another match like that ;D

Really not expecting much from this one at all. The combination of Defoe being on good form this season and Bale returning doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.
With Adam missing out I'd love us to replace him with a more attacking player, such as Kights playing on the right wing and Walters playing off Kenwyne, but instead I can see TP bringing in Deano to go with the same midfield as at Villa with the intention of sucking the life out of the game and praying that we hold on for another 0-0.

3-1 Spurs. We're due a bad game and I fear this will be the one.
Defoe (2) Lennon (1)
Huth for us

Going to be backs to the wall and defending a 1-0 loss when they score in the 36th minute.

But NEA if we lost at all.

Defoe will get one, probably from a penalty given for grabbing at a corner.
2-0 Spuds. We will defend deep to stop them getting in behind.
I'd be happy with a half decent performance, ecstatic with a goal. Don't expect anything from it thoughr.

We'll lose 2-0 though

Quote from a piece about the planned Brit extension...
Re the Spurs game: 'Manager Tony Pulis could spring a surprise in defence as he ponders replacing Geoff Cameron with Ryan Shotton to combat Tottenham's pace'

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has great respect for Stoke City. AVB has warned Spurs face a tough test against Stoke today — but insists the Potters are not a dirty team. He said: “No they are not. Physical presence? Yes. The pressure in our faces is what marks Stoke’s defensive organisation and a great, great side. “But you do not expect them going in nasty on a player.” www.tribalfootball.com/articles/tottenham-boss-avb-stoke-are-not-dirty-3705761#.UNWsAHdn4zM

Ryan's grabbing has been highlighted again with Stellings mob....
Calling for penalties everytime it's seen, especially Thommo, who at least says Skirtel does it all the time too...
Going to be an interesting afternoon..

Maybe Shotton to RB and Geoff to replace Adam.
I'd be pretty worried about Shotton against Bale or Lennon though.
