That XI could go out I'm about 4 different formations.
I'd imagine Shotton on the wing, but effectively playing as a second fullback to counter Bale, with Walters in Adam's usual position.

I suppose Thommo will pick up on Walker holding Shawcross, not looking at the ball once and not letting go until the ball went dead..?
No, didn't think so...

That's a ridiculously good cross from Bale. Very lucky that Adebayor mucked it up

Shotton has made some good runs forward through the middle. Cameron has been given much more freedom than I though he would too.

Really good first half from us. Would be thrilled with another 45 mins like that and a 0-0 draw

Got in with 40 minutes on the clock...looked ok in them 5 minutes with Spurs looking on top, obviously.
Bit disappointed to see Shotton on the wing but very happy to see it's 0-0!
I hear KJ missed a good chance? How are we doing?

On Shotton today, and this is not in the match thread, this is a thread starter: 'How is he a premiership footballer? Completely useless at every aspect of the game. Can't attack, can't defend and can't even control the bloody ball.'

I hear KJ missed a good chance? How are we doing? Playing well, actually done some really decent stuff and not looked to park the bus. It's an absolute world away from the Villa match. After 36 seconds Kyle Walker tried to drive a pass across the back, Kenwyne did well to intercept it on the edge of the area, and then with pretty much just the 'keeper to beat, smashed it over the bar. The kind of chance every Premier League striker should be at least putting on target.

Very decent performance in the first half, really hope we can keep it up in the second half and not do what we often do and let the opposition dominate after half time.
Goaaarn Stoke, fuck off Spuds!

Pleased with the start. They have put a strong side out and we've more than held our own so far. We've had a couple of chances to score though, and that Kenwyne miss, good grief (I know it was like 40 seconds in but even so), need to carry on in the 2nd half and finish them off.
