will it fuck, not unless the new signing is a crock who's lost what made him once great, Ric's best days are behind him, and we should move him on before the memories are ruined

We will only see Ric as a bit part player this season if he stays with us.

Touble is Ric didn't do much of that in the 2nd half of last season when he was on, he was either too greedy when a simple pass gave a better option or was tripping over himself at times

Sorry but as much as it pains me to say it, I've got to agree with the majority so far on this one.
Ric will never be the player that he was. I think he will play some role in next season, and maybe produce a 'Ric' goal here or there but without a decent pre season behind him I don't think he'll make much of an impact whatsoever. Sad face.

I want to believe that there's one kiss and make up with Ric in Tony's heart but I just don't think it's there anymore.

The day Ric leaves will be a very sad day for the club And I'll probably have to change my name for the first time in three years..

When Ric retires they should stuff him and keep him in boardroom.

I`d love to see him end his career at Stoke but he has to accept that its time for him to take a new role. Ric cant last a full 90 mins and be expected to produce his magic. His role is exactly as he was used last season, coming on as an impact sub for the last 20 and weaving his magic against tired defenders whilst he is full of running. Play him for a full game and he gets tired and if things dont go his way quite often looks out of the game. We are passed the point where we need Ric to do his stuff to win us games, the squad has grown and we have others who are younger, fitter and capable of doing that but I can definately see a part for him coming off the bench, nicking a goal or creating something special. If he can accept that role and be prepared to be used that way thats fantastic for all concerned but we all know his temperament. If he refuses to accept it and starts his tantrums then we also know that TP wont stand for it (and rightly so in my book). Lets hope he gets himself over the injury, plays his heart out as and when required and retires gracefully as a true Stoke legend.

Since Ric got injured we've been crying out for someone to come off the bench and give us something different. If he's happy to play that role for the next couple of seasons before he calls it a day, I'd be delighted if he wants a new contract, that would suggest he is. I just hope Pulis will give him more than 5 minutes. He's perfect for the last 20/25 mins against a tired defence.

15/20 minutes is ideal for Ric to weave a bit of magic next season. After that-who know's?
