As a single, all-conquering entity, Ricardo Fuller and Mamady Sidibe are hard to beat.
During the Championship years (and the first Prem season too) they were awesome.
Fuller always got a lot of credit for being a real tidy, aggressive footballer who's also a pretty good athlete, but the reason he found it so easy to dominate defenders was due to Mama using his entire 6'5" frame to batter defenders and win the flick ons all game, no-matter how many times he got kicked, pulled and elbowed.
Probably the most physical and intimidating Stoke City strikeforce of all time; the jewels in TP's crown (cap) and proof that having two massive blokes up front is always better than having just one.

Mama is definitely a good choice, he's even got a role named after him for christ's sake.
;D

Liam Lawrence.
Without him (amongst others) we'd still be a Championship side.

I'd say Gifton and Ade were at least as intimidating IMHO

He started 11 games for us, three were cup games and one he made a terrible two-footed challenge on Julio Arca which got him sent off.... ;D

I'd say Gifton and Ade were at least as intimidating IMHO I remember Stoke playing away at Burnley late on in the season before we got promoted and the first time that I really noticed the progress that we were making under Pulis' second spell. Stoke's front 2 (Fuller and Sibibe) were head and shoulders above Burnley's (Ade and Gifton); Fuller absolutely tore their back 4 to shreds all game and Burnley had nothing in attack to worry us at all. We won 1-0, Fuller dribbled his way to the byline and pulled it back for Sidibe to tap in... I'll have to say that I disagree with your statement, I don't think Ade and Gifton were half as intimidating (or did half as much to shape this club) as Fuller and Sidibe (who shaped us all the way to the Prem). I fucking love Fuller&Sidibe.

Toddy Orlygsson without doubt
Free from Forest. He recommended Larus to Lou Gudjon came to Stoke as national manager to scout him - saw the club and the problems so recommended that... The Icelanders bought us and saved us from the abyss

If I remember correctly we were housed in the lower tier of the Turf Moor home end behind the goal, because the usual away section was out of bounds due to snowfall. Spent all game getting spat on by inbreds but it was worth it for the lock in with the players afterwards. Made the hungover trip on New Years Day only to find out the game was postponed once we had reached Blackburn Services worth it.
