I'll get the ball rolling on this one:
Don't think we've got any problems other than Huth's suspension and Ethers' and Owen's injuries (anyone know how those two have been?) Be interesting to see who starts in this one... the defence that played on Saturday did OK (I thought) so I'm not sure if Geoff will be back in defence or midfield or even at all.
I live in hope of seeing Charlie Adam in MF, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the exact same starting XI as against West Ham, or perhaps even Whitehead for Kightly.
News from the Toon is that Coloccini is definitely out for this as he broke two bones in his back trying to clear the ball over his head against Southampton. Krul is also definitely out.
They're playing in Russia tonight (on a plastic pitch) which is less than ideal for them, so it'll be interesting to see whether or not we decide to give it more of a go than usual at the weekend as a result of their Euro excursions.
Cisse hasn't travelled due to illness and neither have Debuchy or Gouffran (who are ineligible for Europa League games) so you'd expect them to feature on Sunday (unless Cisse is really ill.)
Bad news for us is that Ben Arfa is back and, although he's travelled to Moscow with the EL squad, I don't know whether they'll risk him on a plastic pitch. According to my (Geordie) mate, Shola Ameobi is also unlikely to play because he has an artificial hip that won't mix too well with a fake pitch (this could be bollocks though.)
On a more positive note, they're almost as fucked as us for CBs at the moment, so if Steven Taylor or Yanga-Mbiwa get hurt tonight they've got Mike Williamson and no other proper CBs as cover.
Worried about their attacking ability but they're still very vulnerable, hopefully they'll pick up a few knocks/niggles tonight to weaken them even more for the weekend.
Goarn Stoke!

Newcastle's team v Anzhi tonight -
Elliot, Simpson, Yanga-Mbiwa, Perch, Haidara, Cabaye, Anita, Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Obertan, Sissoko. Subs: Alnwick, Santon, Bigirimana, Tiote, Steven Taylor, Ameobi, Campbell.
Ben Arfa starting, but no out and out strikers as far as I can see.
Few injuries and a demoralising demolition please Anzhi.

It's weird watching a game hoping for injuries.
Come on plastic pitch, fucking get 'em!

Anzhi's set pieces have been truly awful! They've messed up every single one.

Fucking hell, what a shower of shite game that was
Newcastle looked devoid of ideas going forward apart from one move where Ben Arfa decided to attempt to chip the keeper instead of putting his foot through it but strong at the back
They're a French version of us

I hope Ben Arfa is that bad in front of goal against us. It was awful wasn't it? Keeper came out a little bit but going for the chip was moronic, just put your foot through it!

I really can't call this one. They're hit or miss (mostly miss). We're hit or miss or miss. Away says we're going to lose but, it's Newcastle, so who the fuck knows.
0-0

We may lose 2-0 or win 1-0 depends if TP changes owing to the flack he's been getting, but i doubt it. I'll be t the U12 cup final at Middlewich town FC's ground, 1.00 PM kick off.

Tones pre match blurb, was going put it all up myself but it was easier to nick from next door.
"Huthy is suspended, Matty is still struggling. We will see how he is and then make a decision on him.
It's important that the players don't get affected by this run of form. We have to keep them positive. That is key!
It's been a disappointing run, and supporters are entitled to let you know when things aren't going well. We have to come through this.
There have been instances this season, especially away from home, where our performances haven't been rewarded with the right results.
We don't do anything differently away from home, than we do at home. It is a disappointing run of form, but we are determined to kick on
If you look at what we have done in the last six years, it's incredible. I am so proud of what we have achieved.
We play in the toughest league in the world - you have good runs and bad runs. We have to stick together, because we need everybody.
We want to do well in every game we play. The players give everything. There have been 3 games away from home where we have been poor.
Apart from those three games, I think we have performed a lot better than our results suggest.
Newcastle had a bad start, because of injuries, but they have added quality to the squad now, and the injured players are back.
It will be an incredibly tough game; we have no doubt about that, but we will go there and we will do our best to get something.
There are a lot of points to play for, and like us, they will be desperate to get a win under their belts
I do think that our supply this season hasn't been as good as we expect. We are looking at that
We need to get over that 40-point mark, and then look at everything in the summer again. There are things that we want to address.
Supporters pay their money, they have been here before I arrived, and they will be here when I leave. They are entitled to an opinion.
We just need them all behind us, because they don't half make the difference for us. They are incredible supporters"
