Looking forward to my first game of the season tomorrow!
Sparky has a big call to make and one in which TP was often criticised for. Does he bring in Kenwyne who has surely done enough on Weds to merit a start or will he stick with Crouchie?

You'd hope that Sparky hasn't got his favourites (yet) and that the squad will be picked purely on merit. If Kenwyne is dropped after his performance the other night then I can see a few of the fringe players being really disheartened and getting a sense of Déjà Vu. Hopefully he'll do the right thing though and keep him in the team.

Me too, just got a feeling that he doesn't fancy Kenwyne, saying things like, ""He's doing okay and he's enjoying the work we are doing on a day-to-day basis." wouldn't fill me with confidence if I was Kenwyne. Hope I'm proved wrong though, would love to see him given another run in the team under the new system.

I'd be really disappointed if he didn't pick Kenwyne. Am I just imagining this or has he got a decent record against West Ham?
I'd like to think we could get a draw here, 1-1.

Can't see us getting more than a draw. I'll go for 3-1 Stoke.

Kenwyne on from the start and Crouch and Jerome on the bench, so things can be altered if necessary. The only thing that is a problem is Kenny isn't great at holding the ball up to bring other players into the game. A draw would be a good result although if we can stop gifting the opposition chances then a win for Stoke is a good possibility.

The only thing that is a problem is Kenny isn't great at holding the ball up to bring other players into the game. That's true but with our new style of actually playing the ball from the back and through midfield, I don't think our striker (whoever it is) will have to spend most of his time holding up so everyone else can get forward. We might actually start using out striker to have the last touch of attacks and score goals rather than time waste as much as possible while Ethers power walks down the wing.

1-1 I reckon.
Take a draw but hopefully we can snatch it.

We've already played palace at home you retard so unless we draw them in a cup game then we won't be losing to them at home this season

Hope so, I put £50 on us to get relegated so I'll be well happy Despite WHU being a reasonable and well organised team at the moment, if we don't gift them anything (as said above) and get a bit sharper at the back there is a real chance of sharing the points here. 0-0

This could easily be the first game Walters hasn't started in God knows how long, (unless Hughes doesn't think Assaidi is ready to start yet.)
Have we ever had a Premier League away game with more than 50% possession? If not there's definitely a chance this could be our first. Can't see anything better than a draw though unfortunately, would take a point now.
