Kompany out, Demichelis out, not playing particularly well..
They're there for the taking and with our new found footballing confidence thanks to a dominant performance away at West Ham, I reckon we can win this
2-1 Stoke, Jones and Arnautovic

Definitely have to have a go.
They've looked shit since trouncing Castle. With a centre half pairing of lescott and Garcia, we are certainly in with a shout, but offensively they'll be dangerous.
Think we'll give it a go but they'll win it 2-1

Unlikely that we'll win, and goals will be a problem, but we'll play well and (as I thought before WHU) there is a decent chance of a point here.
0-0

Confident we can win this one, even though I'm worried about their attack.
If Aguero doesn't play for whatever reason then I'll be much more confident, Dzeko could score 73 goals this season and I'd still think he's shit - likewise with Giroud.
3-2 Stoke. Jones, Walters and N'Zonzi for us. Toure and a central defender for them.

Man City have strength in depth, so even if they have a few out it's still a massive task for Stoke to get a victory. The crowd and our players will be up for this game so there's a decent chance of us winning!
Is it a bit too early in the week for a GOOAAAAARRRRN?

Stoke fans are far too confident. 2-0 Citeh. We've got every right to be Kompany out, Silva a doubt, playing nowhere near their best, we've won our last two including that brilliant performance and victory away at West Ham and we're at home where we've always done alright against them Even the Citeh supporting mates I know reckon we've got a chance against them But yeah, we're far too confident

Can never expect a win against a team like Man City, but I think this is probably the best chance of beating them for a few years & I can imagine Hughesy wanting to get one over on them, we are brimming with confidence, the team is happy, Man City are very soft at the moment. We have a very good chance to beat them.

We have to take the game to them though.
Their defence is their weakness with no Kompany, so we have to exploit that if we are going to get anything.

Best opportunity for a while isnt it. They'll have had lots of players on international duty too, and they hopefully still getting used to Pellegrini.
Perhaps Hart will do us a favour and chuck one in like he did vs Scotland.

While they are missing a number of good players they're still a very good team. Do we have a chance? Yes. Do I think that many Stoke fans are overconfident? Yes. Do I think we will win? No. We're playing a team that will more than likely be in the title race this year, so yeah I think people who are expecting a win are overconfident. Also, as a rule I've found that whenever Stoke fans tend to feel confident in large groups we tend to get trounced.

Also, as a rule I've found that whenever Stoke fans tend to feel confident in large groups we tend to get trounced. I wouldn't say people are "expectant" of a win, it's simply recognising that we do have a very realistic chance of taking all three points based on what we've seen of ourselves and Citeh Like I said, even the Citeh supporting mates of mine think we've got a chance and that's not like them, they're happy to take a draw off us on Saturday. Does that make Citeh fans overly pessimistic? Or are they also recognising the facts that they aren't playing very well at the moment, two of their key players are possibly out (Silva's a doubt, Kompany definite) and that Stoke as a team are playing with confidence "Also, as a rule I've found that whenever Stoke fans tend to feel confident in large groups we tend to get trounced."We're very rarely trounced and when we have been it's been against Chelsea, Arsenal, Citeh, Man United and they've all been away games where no one expects us to win so that statement's just wrong

Stoke 0 Chelsea 4 January 2013. Everyone was pretty confident about that one. It's a very wrong statement then.

Stoke 0 Chelsea 4 January 2013. Everyone was pretty confident about that one. It's a very wrong statement then. One game where no one was overconfident and any sane fan would've taken a draw against them. It was also a complete freak of a game thanks to Walters That's my mind completely changed based on that remarkable evidence

The statement's still wrong, you've managed to come up with one complete freak of a game which proves we don't "tend to get trounced" In fact, we're very rarely trounced at all, even when we're fearing a nobbing Either way, back to the original point.. I don't expect us to win on Saturday but I won't be surprised if we do Must admit, I did giggle at this.. "It had nothing to do with changing your mind, I'm not stupid enough to try and do that." ;D

We rarely get trounced in terms of goals, I'll agree on that. We were often trounced on a performance basis though.
