Donks, let go of the sprint button, your players magically have a better touch when going slower and can turn sharper.

I played 7 games yesterday and on 4 occasions the servers decided to quit. Also when I'm searching the transfer market the servers go as well so have to search again.
They are always doing maintenance but I don't see the point if the same old shit is going to keep happening.
As of gameplay I prefer fifa 13. Atleast you could actually defend against a lobbed through ball instead of defenders standing there gormlessley as the ball goes over there heads

Has anyone got any tips on how to stop being abused on through balls? Every time somebody plays a through ball I'm in massive trouble and it's really pissing me off to the point where I want to stamp on ps3

The 3-5-2 with pacey defenders with team set up defensive - counter attack. It doesn't stop them all the time but generally back off a bit when defending and they happen a lot less frequently. Close down too quickly or all the time and you open yourself up to them massively.
It requires a lot more accuracy or luck to pull them off against me when I'm set up like this I've found.

Used 352 but still have the same problem. I've got vidic centre and kompany vertonghan next to him. I do sit off teams and try and close them out and hit on counter but these through balls are killing my enjoyment for the game now

I don't, but Vidic is awful, and I wouldn't go near any of the other two either. I'd go for Chicheres, Kaboul & Walker from the premiership or Clichy, Chicheres, Walker - a hell of a lot more pace at the back and it makes such an enormous difference.
Beyond that you want 2 very mobile midfielders for the DM positions, I don't go to the premiership because I find it lacks these players but in my Italy based side I have Vidal and Guarin who come back to help in defence as well.

Was thinking of building an Italy based team.
On clichy and walker. Surely they will get beasted in the air playing in the cb positions?

Most people use pacey forwards which tend to lack the ability in the air. If they use especially large players, Lewandowski, Cavani etc you can get deeper and let them bring the ball down no problems. The game is just too orientated around pace for anything else to really matter I've found. Pace is the equivalent of a punchers chance I think, no matter what the situation as long as you've got pace you've got a chance be it defending or attacking.

I've found though that a lot of goals come from headers. I'd say atleast half the goals I score are headers and I do concede a lot of headers. I'm gonna build an Italian team I think

Pick line tip for you, when buying players check workrates.
For example vertonghen has high attack which means he will bomb up the pitch a lot and not get back a lot, so playing him in a back three is very dodgy. A player like diakite from Sunderland is perfect, tall, pacey, strong and low attack with high def wkrkrates meaning he will siyt back and not go forward.
You can mix it up with work rates too, for example in a 442 you can have a box to boix player like Gerrard who has high at and def to get up and down and combine him with a sitter like Mikel or Sandro!
In my teams I play 433 always, and have 1midfielder very attacking like sniejder, nasri, ozil, then one all rounder like toure, sissoko, paulinho, Gerrard and then one defensive boss like javi Martinez, busquets, Sandro and it works well.
I'm not the best player by any means but I've always been consistent over fifa and my record boe is 150wins, 20draws and 50losses.
I use wingers that cut in and can score like Ben arfa, lavezzi, hazard and then a tank of a striker like drogba, lukaku. Fullbacks is all about pace to keep up with opponents wingers
