Simple decision for the Coates family: Financially back Hughes in January and let him bring him a few players or kiss goodbye to huge cash cow that is the Premier League.
We can sit here and forever blame the officials who bottled several huge, game changing decisions today but the fact remains, we can't create many chances and we certainly don't have anyone capable of getting on the end of the few chances we create.
If you can't create goals or score them then you're in big trouble.

I honestly think we would have bought in the Summer if the right players were available, I just think we weren't prepared to pay stupid money for Diouf, I think if the right player had been available money wouldn't have been a problem, as long as they weren't asking ridiculous amounts. Suppose we'll find out in Jan although we may end up paying even more than we would have in the Summer.

We were interested in players, Diouf and Rhodes to name but two, and on both occasions we tried to get them for significantly less than what their clubs were asking. As I understand it we may actually get Rhodes in January, but if we'd paid the asking price, which was not unreasonable considering what we paid for Crouch and KJ, we would be better off points wise both now and at seasons end. I think we'll end up paying the price asked for Rhodes anyway. We will lose far more than it would have cost us to pay the going rate for the players we were supposedly interested in. I wished we'd kept Fuller as backup for another season to be honest.

I still think Kenwyne can provide us with a few goals until we get to the window despite his recent performances and attitude!

Just back. Official coaches are shit. Mrs Brown's 'bastard' boys, Billy 'fucking' Conolly and Alan 'Did you know i wear glasses and am gay' Carr on the TV. Infuriating. Deserved to win. Lacking that scorer, which Arnie certainly isn't. Pieters was poor imo, NZonzi average, Wilson shit again Wingers did fuck all first half. Thought Geoff was good again. And how didn't Huth score? Jesus he could be in double figures already. Ireland, Arnie and Assaidi were very good second half. Assaidi must be in line for a start. Arnie looks unreal at times. That finish when he went through was a class above anything since RF10. His rabonna's, including the one first touch from a 40 yard ball was just filth. He shooting was piss weak though. Once he scores, he'll back a few. Impressed and the first time he's looked like really being a class player. He's not a striker though. When the ball is out wide he stands on the edge of the box so crossing is completely pointless. I'm really not sure where he fits in, but he definitely needs to play. Not sure on the reffing decisions. They should have had on for sure. Thought he got the free kick right but we were level with the pitch on the opposite side of the ground so can't really be sure. And Crouch again? WHYYYYYY?!

As for Fulham...wank fans. Furious with how many tourists. Heard one walking out saying we'll go Arsenal next time WTF The beer was flat. Some Dakah tried to fob me off with a beer which filled no more than a third of a pint glass and 2 thirds was just head (Not BJ jobs please). I'm not even exaggerating. As for the performance. I'm not that arsed about the loss because I genuinely am happy to give Hughes time and believe in what he's trying to achieve.

Good report Big Les! According to Thompson who was watching our game on Sky we should have had 2 clear pens. The one that was given as a free kick outside the box he said that the initial contact was outside but Walters stayed strong and then when he did eventually bring him down, it was clearly inside. Oh well, hopefully we'll get a decision soon.
With you on being behind what Hughes is doing.
