We don't need to remind them how little they are because they're exactly that.

Never really got out of second gear today, Should have really scored a few more with all the chances that we made.
As for playing Port Vale, fuck that.

I thought it was pretty shocking if that was the standard for the top of he table Championship side. In the first half I don't think we got out of first gear and although they looked better in the second half 2 -1 was a very flattering scoreline for them. It really was a case of Championship? You're havin' a laugh.

The loudest chant I remember (apart from their stupid Leicester song after the goal) was the oooooooo, Jack, You're Shit Ahhhhh when Butland took a goal kick. Swiftly followed by a louder round of England's number 1, England, England's No. 1 from the stokies. Btw Kenny Fucking Powers. Love it.

The amount of Vale bitching (not just here) is a little embarrassing. I went on Boxing day and I don't think anyone's under any illusion about how big the gulf is now. If you think some of the mistakes that go on with the lower teams in the Premiership are poor, you've no fucking idea. There was a fair few fans that took an interest Stoke conversation and gave decent input. For every dickend of a Vale fan that clings onto the 90's, there's several Stoke fans that drag their knuckles along the floor. We're blessed to be where we are but waving dicks around isn't the way to go about it.

I'm in the "anyone but Vale" camp as well.
It offers nothing to us but the chance to lose or draw on an off day (we've been having a few).
Not to mention that it'd be a great day out for the knuckledraggers and bellends.

We're blessed to be where we are but waving dicks around isn't the way to go about it. You've got Vale connections, Lew, fair enough with your views there. I haven't lived in Stoke since I was about five and Vale mean literally nothing to me in the same way that Northampton Town mean nothing. So those who do still live there will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the problem a lot of Stokies have with Vale is that they always wanted them to do well when they were bouncing around between divs 3 and 4 throughout most of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Yet very little of that goodwill was seen towards Stoke when we eventually ended up in the same division and it was particularly absent when they were above us. It never bothered me because, as I say, I don't live there and they don't mean anything to me, but I can imagine a good few Stokies who previously had Vale's best wishes broadly at heart had their eyes opened by what happened during the 90s and have long and unforgiving memories. Two wrongs don't make a right of course, but I'd be surprised if that isn't where a lot of the "Vale bitching" comes from.

We're blessed to be where we are but waving dicks around isn't the way to go about it. Firstly I don't think it is Vale bitching, it's probably more Vale fan bitching. I agree with Turtle that in general I don't really think about them football wise any differently than any other lower division club. Unfortunately every Vale fan I know (that's quite a few) there are only two with whom I can have a proper rational conversation with, including some light hearted banter. Their delusions have ranged from a Vale fan acquaintance, who when we reached the cup final started talking about how he'd supported Man City ever since he was a boy (he's probably in his 50s now) despite NEVER having brought that up before. He has rarelyly brought it up for the last couple of seasons funnily enough to someone who always insist that Vale are having a better season than us (and have done since we reached the Premiership) whenever they are higher in whatever league they are in than our placing in the Premiership. I think some of their fans are massively deluded about how big the gulf is. I also don't think anyone has been "waving their dicks" around. Everyone knows that there is always a chance when a lower league team plays a higher division team that an upset will occur. The problems is with the Vale is that if they beat us their fans would be insufferable forever because, and speaking from personal experience, 90% of them seem to have a massive Stoke shaped chip on their shoulder. (Just like my massive Arsenal shaped chip I suppose.)

Fuck Vale, Sheffield Utd (or Wednesday at a push, if they can find it within themselves to beat fucking Macclesfield) away or any home tie, please.
Good performance from us today. Know Leicester have one eye on promotion and that wasn't their first team, but even Charlie barely broke a sweat. Easy is not the word.

Agree that Leicester were very underwhelming. We didn't really get going and should still easily have bagged four goals, Kenwyne and Marko had some great chances which they should have taken.
The only impressive thing from Leicester was some flashes of ridiculous quality from Knockaert. His first touch was absolutely incredible at times, on his day he must rip Championship defences to pieces. He'll be in the Premier League soon whether it's with them or somewhere else.
