Anyone played this? Was in the Steam sale the other weekend. It's pretty great if you're into your political simulators. Currently taking Britain towards a Libertarian, Socialist future. The rich ain't too happy though.

It's decent. Although it does get to a point where you have to download the community made mods, just to add a little bit more depth. Struggling to find a balance between public services, taxation, and GDP. It seems I can tax companies, the wealthy, and the middle incomes to pay for my huge welfare system, but apparently companies want to leave. The game is pretty easy to mod though, so I am just going to create a modification which includes the nationalisation of industry.  |

I play all sorts of weird and boring games but even I can't muster any enthusiasm for this. Having said that I haven't even tried the Titanfall beta yet.

Put a fair few hours into this today. It's good but it really needs expanding. I've currently got a fairly steady income stream through moderate taxation, while also pouring funding into state education/health and welfare. I've legalised cannabis and LSD and started taxing them. The only real problem is that I have low level organised crime that I just can't get rid of because of the legalising gambling and then heavily taxing it. Capitalists hate me, socialists think I'm good and Liberals love me. Poor people adore me while middle income and the wealthy aren't my biggest fans. I'm winning most elections with 90% of the votes however. My only major issue is that GDP is so heavily influenced by outside forces. Because basically the global economy is shit. They got into a deep recession once every two years, a feature to allow me to have a solider, more independent structure would be lovely (nationalisation of key industries). Game has so much great potential with the way it works and how you can feel like you're going to get somewhere with a group, only to piss them off because they're also part of a different group. It also suffers with repetitive scenarios, it's asked me 10 or 11 times now if I want to ban animal testing, since I've said yes to ban it every time you'd think that it would get the hint.
