Last time I was at Witton Albion was a Sir John Deane's social which ended in a bunch of lads from Winsford who came down to beat the shit out of a bunch of lads from Rudheath and it ended in the place closing at 11, the bouncer getting stabbed by a broken bottle and everyone being asked questions by the Police ;D  |

Yeah it'll be the Academy Maybe a few trialists. Look out for Linus Sjoberg, promising winger/forward who was superb in Tuesdays game vs Newport County. |

lost 7-1 it was men against boys, although some of Witton's players weren't that old. Stoke was a mixture of 1st and 2nd year academy I think but were outfought and outplayed, Witton played some decent stuff and could do well in the Unibond 1st this time I think. the big black lad who came on was 1st year academy and played at the back, he's about 6'5" already , the defence was quite poor, badly organised, no leader, too square or 2 went and 2 stayed etc. plenty for the coaches to work on  Couple of decent players in centre mid, the left back wasn't up to it  and I was watching the subs warm up, a foreign lad sounding Austrian or swiss i think, and 3 coloured lads all working hard, but 1 english lad, small with a couple of str tattoes on his left hand was just chatting with them, didn't seem to have a good attitude, he came on left midfield and didn't get in the game. The big bermudian keeper didn't seem that good either, all in all based on that 1 performance I can't see any troubling Tony's thoughts. |

The 6ft 5 black CB you're on about is Manny. Signed from Millwall, seems TP's sort of player.
Who played left back by the way? Black lad, or small ginger guy?

It was the swedish trialist playing right midfield, he looked the brightest player out there. a coloured lad with a mohican played left midfield, never really beat his man and most of his crosses were blocked. |
